From the northern branch of the "Silk Road Economic Belt"(the "China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor")to the northern branch of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road"("The Polar Silk Road"),there is a vast geographical space. There are abundant natural and mineral resources, and the ecological environment has important global indications. It is necessary to study the feasibility of the connection between the two. After background sorting, route identification, and feasibility discussion, this paper proposes 4 The main conclusions.(1)Through combing and analyzing the nature from the northern branch of the "Silk Road Economic Belt"("China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor")to the northern branch of the "21st Century Maritime Silk Road"("The Polar Silk Road")Geographical and socio-economic profile, identified the existence of three potential routes between the two that can be connected by land and river.Among them, the land transportation method is mainly concentrated in railway transportation, auxiliary road transportation, and the river transportation method mainly uses the river channel for transportation. The three land-river transport routes are the Urumqi-Yamal Sabetta Port Line(Western Line),Beijing-Tamil Dickson Port Line(Middle Line),and Dalian-Arctic Ocean Jikexi Port Line(Eastern Line).Focus on the analysis and discussion of the feasibility of the three routes from the aspects of the policy and scientific research foundation of the three land-river combined transport routes, and the social and economic development along the route.(2)The Western Route departs from Urumqi,China, passes through 3 countries,China,Kazakhstan, and Russia, and involves 10 provincial-level regions and more than50 cities. The whole line mainly passes through 4 large river basins, from south to north, they are the Tarim Inner River Basin, the Ili River Inner River Basin, the Kazakhstan Inner River Basin and the Ob River Basin. The land travel from Urumqi to Ob Bay on the west line is 3287 km,and the river transport along the line travels a total of 2797 km.The land section of the overall line can be connected by the "China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor",the Trans-Siberian Railway and other lines.(3)The mid-line starts from Beijing and passes through 3 countries including China,Mongolia, and Russia, involving 11 provincial-level regions and 53 cities. The whole line mainly passes through the Haihe River Basin, the Yellow River Basin, the Mongolia-Inner Mongolia Inner Basin, and the Yenisei River Basin. It travels 3592.5km on land and 2267 km along rivers. There are abundant mineral resources in Mongolia and Krasnoyarsk Territory in the route, and the development potential is great.(4)The Eastern Route runs through the Northeast Asian region of China and Russia, and the route is: Dalian-Harbin-Heihe-Blagoveshchensk(Kelanpao)-Neryungri-Yakutsk-Dikexi Port. The total length of the transportation line is 3090 km,of which the transportation distance is 3090 km and the river transportation distance is1747 km.The three months from July to September on the Lena River in summer are suitable for shipping, and ships of more than 3000 tons can be driven in the navigable section of the Lena River. Each node in the land section already has a mature transportation system.
