| Cheng Huang culture originated from The Book of Rites,which is called "Tian Zi Da La Ba".It originated in the Tang and Song Dynasties and flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.The cognition and interpretation of different social groups make the Cheng Huang culture express in different spaces at the official,folk and religious aspects,which together constitute the space category of the Cheng Huang culture;and serves as diffident space functions,diffident Cheng Huang express jointly helps the governance of ancient Chinese society.In the early Ming Dynasty,Zhu Yuanzhang’s "Hongwu two year new system" and "Hongwu three year reform" strengthened the status of Cheng Huang Shen,established the unity of Cheng Huang system and bureaucratic system,and promoted the development of Cheng Huang cultural space.The Cheng Huang system in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty further expanded the area of Cheng Huang cultural space.Therefore,the Cheng Huang culture has an important influence on the formation of ancient Chinese urban spatial pattern.This paper analyzes the connotation,extension and carrier of the Cheng Huang cultural space,and discusses the influence of the Cheng Huang cultural space on the spatial pattern of ancient cities.Then,it puts forward the theoretical model of the Cheng Huang culture space,which is constructed by three layers: the World layer,the Yin-yang layer and the Zhou-xing layer.On this basis,taking the old city of Mi County as an example,this paper analyzes and demonstrates the spatial structure and pattern of the Cheng Huang culture in the old city of Mi County,defines the division of "the rule of man" and "the rule of God" in the world layer,and divides the ancient city into four regions: Renyu,Lijie,Yizheng,Lehe;in the field of the Yin-yang layer,the political center and cultural center are determined,and the dual structure of "co governance of man and God" is established;in the field of the Zhou-xing layer,the scope of people’s sacrificial activities was formed,which enriched the interior space of the temple.Therefore,the theoretical model of Cheng Huang cultural space analyzes the spatial pattern characteristics of the old city of Mi County,which has a certain guiding significance for the research of Cheng Huang cultural space in the old city of Mi County. |
