| Transportation is the material basis found in an area.Highway traffic is the traffic line with the largest network density and the highest frequency of use in the region, which can directly reflect the economic development of the region. The important hub of China’s transportation is located in the Central Plains urban agglomeration, which plays a huge role in connecting the economic exchanges between the north and the South and undertaking the industrial transfer between the East and the West.Road traffic is the main mode of transportation in the Central Plains urban agglomeration. Therefore, this paper chooses the Central Plains urban agglomeration as the research object, and analyzes the spillover effect of road traffic and economic development in 30 cities by using GIS analysis tools, using gray correlation degree,Moran index, spatial measurement model and other methods.Comprehensive analysis shows that:Through the gray correlation analysis and spatial auto-correlation analysis,it shows that the economic development level is most obviously affected by the traffic passenger volume and freight volume, and the road traffic situation is more significantly affected by the regional GDP and the added value of the second and third industries. The road traffic and economic development level of the Central Plains urban agglomerations show a trend of agglomeration in space, and take Zhengzhou as the center, showing a high degree of agglomeration, indicating that the radiation capacity of Zhengzhou decreases with the increase of distance. From the perspective of close economic relations, highway traffic density has a significant positive spillover effect on the areas with close economic relations, and the impact of highway traffic on the level of economic development of the city is relatively weaker than the impact on the cities with close economic relations. It shows that the improvement of highway traffic conditions significantly increases the exchanges between cities with similar economic development level and promotes the improvement of their economic development level. From the perspective of geographical distance, road traffic has an impact not only on the local economic development, but also on the economic development of other places. The impact of the urban road traffic density on the economic development of the city is obvious. The urban road traffic density has a positive effect on the economic development of the surrounding areas, but the effect is better than that of the urban road traffic density The impact of cities is poor.Generally speaking, the improvement of highway traffic conditions has a positive impact on economic development,so we should increase the density of highway traffic and promote the urban economic development. |
