| The construction and popularization of high-speed rail is an epoch-making event in the history of China’s traffic construction, which greatly improves the traffic conditions between regions, and has a significant and far-reaching impact on regional relations and regional development. The "space-time compression effect" of high-speed rail reduces the time and economic cost of inter regional population migration and flow, and significantly improves the flow speed of inter regional population and production factors. At present,China is still in the stage of rapid development of urbanization. In a period of time, the agglomeration of population to cities, especially to large and medium-sized cities,is still a basic change trend of population spatial pattern. However, the traffic facilitation brought by the increasingly perfect high-speed rail network has a differential impact on the urban population agglomeration in different regions and categories, and even the "core periphery" phenomenon of population agglomeration in space may appear, which greatly changes the population spatial distribution and agglomeration pattern at the macro, meso and micro levels in China.Starting from the difference of the impact of high-speed rail network on urban agglomeration, this paper analyzes the changing characteristics of China’s urban agglomeration in the "high-speed rail era",summarizes the general laws of the impact of high-speed rail network operation on population agglomeration, constructs a quantitative evaluation model of the relationship between the two,and uses the population,high-speed rail operation and other relevant social and economic data of 234 prefecture level cities in China in 2008-2017 Data for empirical research.Under the "high-speed rail era",China’s population agglomeration is increasing, and the agglomeration provinces are more concentrated in the Yangtze River Delta,Pearl River Delta and Beijing Tianjin region.Since entering the "high-speed rail era",the population concentration in the eastern region has increased, while that in the central and western regions has declined slightly. This paper makes an empirical study of the samples according to the characteristics of cities, and finds that the opening of high-speed rail in the national level promotes population agglomeration. The more convenient the high-speed rail facilities are,the more population agglomeration can be promoted, while the increase of high-speed rail lines is likely to lead to population outflow. There are differences in the impact of different types of urban high-speed rail construction on population agglomeration. The higher the geographical advantage, the higher the opening of high-speed rail on population agglomeration The more obvious the positive effect is.In the study of urban development,it is found that the construction of "first line" and "second line" urban high-speed rail plays a role in promoting population agglomeration. However, due to the impact of the cost of living in the core cities, the number of high-speed rail lines increases, and the urban population may outflow. In the regional study, there is a significant difference between the eastern, central and western regions in the construction of high-speed rail. The opening of high-speed rail in the eastern and western regions promotes population agglomeration, while the central region has a restraining effect. With the continuous improvement of the high-speed rail network, the population in the Eastern region began to spread outward. The construction of high-speed rail network can provide new impetus for the development of urbanization, accelerate the circulation of elements in the East, central and western regions, and provide human capital transmission for the East, which can also promote the adjustment and upgrading of urban industrial structure in the central and western regions. At present,it is more and more difficult to promote the urbanization. The new urbanization construction requires us to achieve balanced development.Based on the urban differences, this paper studies the impact of high-speed rail construction on population agglomeration, which can provide a theoretical basis for strengthening the construction of urban agglomerations, and has important policy significance for the development of urbanization in China. At the same time, the construction of high-speed rail provides an opportunity to break through the "Hu Huanyong line".However, due to the short time of high-speed rail construction in the western region, the economic development differences between the eastern and western regions are too large,so that the population agglomeration pattern in China will not change in the short term. |
