The large-scale laying of high-speed railway has broken the pattern of traditional urban transportation infrastructure network,and the resulting high-speed railway effect has brought a huge impact on the production and living of residents,the layout of urban industries and the growth of national economy.At the same time,the proportion of the tertiary industry in the national economy is gradually increasing,and the serviceoriented economy is gradually becoming an important booster for the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure and the steady and sound development of the national economy.In the context of the new normal of economic development,the service sector plays an increasingly prominent role as the engine of the national economy,especially the strong driving force of high-end service industry for industrial development has an important impact on economic growth.This article comprehensively analyzes the impact of high-speed rail opening on economic growth by affecting the spatial agglomeration of high-end service industry from theoretical and empirical levels,and puts forward some policy recommendations on the industrial layout of high-end service industry and high-speed railway network planning based on the research conclusions.In the mechanism analysis part,this paper expounds the specific process of highspeed railway opening affecting the economic growth by acting on the spatial agglomeration of high-end service industry.Then it describes the status of high-speed railway opening,high-end service industry agglomeration(diversity agglomeration,specialization agglomeration)and economic growth.Immediately afterwards,this article uses panel data from 2008 to 2017 to establish a double differential model,and measures the regional economic impact of high-speed rail from the perspective of time and space,and examines the intermediate mechanism effect of high-end service industry spatial agglomeration.Finally,the endogenous problems between the opening of high-speed rail and economic growth,and the endogenous problems between the agglomeration of high-end service industries and economic growth are tested.The innovations of this paper are: First,the new intermediate mechanism perspective of high-end service industry agglomeration is selected to study the impact of high-speed rail opening on economic growth;second,the two measures of diversification and specialization are selected to fully reflect the regional high-end service industry;The third is to use the method of double difference(DID)and propensity score matching-double difference(PSM-DID)to make an empirical analysis on the process of the impact of high-speed railway on economic growth.The results found that:(1)From a national perspective,the opening of high-speed rail can promote economic growth.(2)In terms of regions,the promotion of high-speed rail to economic growth is mainly reflected in the central and western regions.The opening effect of high-speed rail in the eastern region is relatively not particularly significant.The high-speed rail opening effect has a time lag.The promotion effect of the high-speed rail opening on the economic growth of the central and western regions has been significantly expressed since the sixth year after the highspeed rail opening.(3)Diversified agglomeration of high-end service industry plays a significant intermediate mechanism in the impact of high-speed rail opening on economic growth.High-speed rail opening mainly promotes economic growth by increasing the degree of regional high-end service industry diversification.The opening of the high-speed rail can affect economic growth by improving interregional accessibility,reducing transaction costs,and realizing the reorganization of high-end labor factors.Furthermore,high-end service industry agglomeration plays the role of intermediary mechanism in these three channels through the scale economy effect,industry correlation effect,industry driving effect and knowledge spillover effect.
