Study On The Relationship Between Residential Space Environment And Senior Citizen’s Behavior And Health

With the continuous development of society,the problem of aging in China is becoming more and more serious,and home-based care has become the most important mode of care for the senior citizen in China.As the material basis of home care for the senior citizen,the residential space environment has an important impact on the health of the elderly.In-depth analysis and discussion of the relationship between the residential space environment and the health of the elderly,based on this theory,to provide constructive suggestions for the future design of the residential space environment,improve the health of the elderly and benefit the elderly.The specific work of this study can be summarized as follows:1)According to the relevant theories of environmental behavior and basic theories of physical activity and health,the influencing factors involved in the research are extracted through literature readings,and the quality of space,safety,accessibility,social interaction environment,physical activity of the senior citizen,elderly Human health was set as a latent variable in this study,and a measurement scale of "relationship between residential space environment and the behavior and health of the elderly" was comprehensively compiled.Reasonably speculate the logical relationships and influence paths contained in the variables,make reasonable assumptions about the correlations between the variables,and build a conceptual model of the structural equation of “residential space environment—elderly behavior—health” on this basis.2)Conduct field surveys and visits to the residential space environment to clarify the current status of the residential space and discover existing problems in the residential area;through interviews and surveys with the elderly,understand the senior citizen’s evaluation of the existing residential space environment and the elderly Behavioral habits and health self-assessment status.3)Perform statistics and collation on the data obtained from the survey,process the data using the analysis method of the structural equation model,check the fitting degree of the model,and modify the constructed model according to the mathematical statistical method.According to the data test,the structural equation model of the " residential space environment—elderly behavior—health " finally constructed is well fitted.4)Applying mediation effect analysis to test the effect and path in the structural equation model of " residential space environment—elderly behavior—health ",the results show that the hypothetical relationships among the six variables all pass the statistical test.From the perspective of total impact effect and direct impact effect,it is found that space quality has the greatest impact on the behavior and health of the elderly;from the perspective of indirect impact effect,the social interaction environment has the greatest impact on the behavior and health of the elderly.With the improvement of the quality of the space environment of the residential area,the behavior and health of the elderly have greatly improved.5)Apply the multi-group adjustment analysis method,taking the age of the elderly as the adjustment variable,and further reveal the difference of the adjustment effect on the path effect between the established structural equation models of the elderly of different ages from the perspective of adjustment effect.It was found that age had a significant regulatory effect in the older and younger age groups,but not in the older,middle-aged and middle-aged and younger age groups.Comparing the differences in path effects between the older and younger age groups,it was found that the improvement of spatial quality has a greater impact on the physical activity of the younger age and a relatively smaller impact on the older group.The accessibility has a greater impact on the health of the older group.The influence of the younger age is smaller;the social interaction environment has a greater impact on the physical activity of the younger age,but less on the older group;the physical activity of the older age has a greater impact on the health of the younger age,and has a smaller impact on the older group.6)According to the current status of the settlement and the conclusions obtained from the analysis,it analyzes the material and social factors of the space in the settlement,and proposes improvement measures for the future planning and design of the space environment of the settlement.
