The distinctive cityscape has become a scarce resource, but with the wave of globalization and the problems of urban development itself, the cityscape of most cities is gradually being lost.At present, urban development is in a transition period, and urban development is gradually changing from extensive "incremental development" to fine "stock development".Under this background, how to make people-oriented and scientific assessment and identification of cityscape becomes a key issue. This thesis is based on panoramic VR technology and cuts in from the perspective of visual attention.Through multidisciplinary research methods of statistics and psychology,we conduct an experimental study on the cityscape of Xiamen Island.Study to determine the urban style area of Xiamen through social network big data, and conduct on-site scene information collection.Based on this material, the public is invited to conduct a panoramic VR experiment on the Xiamen city cityscape area, collecting a total of 1004 evaluations and visual attention data for 29 cityscape areas.Data analysis is mainly divided into questionnaire analysis and visual attention mechanism analysis. The questionnaire analysis mainly uses statistical methods to explore the influencing factors of Xiamen city style assessment. The study found that the evaluation of the cityscape is related to the subjects’ education background, age, identity and familiarity with the region. At the same time,it was found that the beauty of landscape and architecture has a greater impact on the evaluation of the cityscape, while the night scene lighting has a smaller evaluation on the cityscape.Based on the analysis, the researchers tried to determine the weight relationship among the evaluation factors through regression analysis, and establish an evaluation system for Xiamen cityscape area. The visual attention mechanism analysis part mainly uses the comparative analysis of the visual attention heat maps of the high and low evaluation groups to explore the difference and commonness of the general and high and low evaluation elements in the spatial distribution of different types of l cityscape areas, and tries to find the causes. The study found that in different types of cityscape areas, there are generally more general evaluation factors and fewer high and low evaluation factors. At the same time, the spatial distribution of the three types of elements is quite different, which has a great relationship with the function and spatial form of different types of cityscape areas. This study provides a new entry point and a more accurate method for the domestic and quantitative cityscape and related field research, which has a certain reference value for the evaluation of the cityscape of other cities.
