The medium voltage vacuum circuit breaker made in company S,which with the nonbricked design but without intelligent configures could not meet the customized requirements these years.Another problem is there are many products meeting with the same requirements,it is difficult for customers to make selection and also with high costs of product and management.Company S decided to develop a medium voltage vacuum circuit breaker with intelligent and customized features to meet the requirements before 2020.The author decided to use the risk management in the design to reduce the risks occurrence and the impacts in the product design.This thesis uses the brainstorming and WBS-RBS matrix to identify the risks in the circuit breaker design.We build the table with risk identification,and also the WBS-RBS matrix.The risk priority number(RPN)is generated by using the methodology of FMEA after evaluating the identified risks.Then we get the risk priority number ranking table.We take proper actions according to the impacts from different risks.For the risks with RPN above 112 and severity equal to 10,will be taken as the most important preventive risks and the RPN and severity value must be reduced.This thesis uses the methodology of Pareto chart,integrated with the risk auditing and reporting to monitor the risks in each phase of the project.This is important and helpful for project manager to make decisions and manage the risks in project.The deliverables from the thesis like risk identification tables,WBS-RBS matrixes,risk priority number ranking tables,Pareto charts and the risk reports.They are all the theoretical basis and method for company S to design the circuit breaker,and also as the valuable experiences for similar projects in the future.The experiences of the risk management in the project could also be referenced for other companies in the same filed. |
