| With the release of “Made in China 2025”Plan by Chinese government,the flexible,intellectualized and green production concepts were proposed which means traditional manufacturing mode is inevitable to be up-graded.The massive production is no longer applicable to the personalized and diverse demand of market.The manufacturing companies will not get low cost benefit from large scale of production as before.The shipping manufacturing as a classic customer –oriented industry and make to order business mode is going to be changed from conventional mode to modern shipbuilding mode.The companies have to enhance the aspects of design capabilities,product innovation and agile supply chain to improve the efficiency of operation and strengthen the company competitiveness.Inventory regarded as the third source of profit is one of the important company strategies,especially for the manufacturing factory,the material management and cost control is the efficient strategy.This paper focus on the inventory optimization based on E company and analysed the problems of inventory management.Firstly,the paper introduced the research of inventory management nowadays,the characters of inventory in manufacturing mode and the classic modes etc.Then the three manufacturing modes make to stock,make to order and engineer to order have been introduced and mainly concentrate on the latter two modes in E company.The paper studied from the supply chain view of point and proposed the optimization programmes on aspects of the forecast accuracy,reclassification of ABC material category,delivery frequency,safety stock,reduction on the lead time,and implementations on supply chain collaboration,and figure out the non-standard material to take more actions on the material management.Finally,the optimization programmes have been put into practice and evaluated;some of the results have been showed in the paper,some of the results are expected to be verified in future. |
