This article chooses author’s workplace as subject matter,CY group bus industry as research contents,and strategic development of bus industry as research area.CY group consists of subsidiaries such as Higer Bus Company Limited ranking second in bus industry and other companies related with bus spare parts.As the economic develops and bus industry structure changes,development strategy of bus industry CY drafted before does not adapt to the new market situation.Some strategic direction has changed dramatically.How to remain invincible in such changes and get better development,this is an emergent issue CY group now faces and needed to solve.This article employs company strategic theory,means and tools to analyze with CY group bus industry situation,discovery the problem,decide research contents and research ideas with this background.First this article analyzes CY group’s industry background.It employs PEST theory and five forces model to analyze external conditions.As to the internal conditions,it analyzes company’s ability and resource condition.It may provide basic data for forging its industry development strategy.This article employs SWOT and BCG model theory to forge CY group industry development strategy.The choice and forge of strategy are targeted and adaptive.CY group may take integrated development strategy,including direct investment,merge and regroup etc to reconstruct bus industry and other key bus spare parts companiesTaking such development strategy,CY group draft relevant competition strategies,including product-focus marketing focus and cost focus.It can bring absolute competitive advantage in some product field and marketing.This package of strategies consists of setting up professional technical team,competitive supply chain and value chain,exploit current resources,and reconstruct marketing etc.In the end,this article summarizes the thesis and gives a brief introduction to the author’s feelings and understanding.
