In the context of economic globalization and recycling of government power,the frequency of reconstruction of urban space and system is speeding up.Governments around the world are actively trying various practices of various politics of scales,in order to promote the transformation of urban management system and development structure.Refer to this,the western has carried out comprehensive and in-depth theoretical and practical research and established a specific analysis framework related to the theory of politics of scale.It provides a powerful view for analyzing the mechanism and principle of urban reconstruction practice.In China,the adjustment of administrative divisions has become one of the most common practical methods for local governments to promote urban reconstruction with its rich forms and extensive roles.However,there is still a lack of consistent theoretical analysis and structural analysis on its process and results.Therefore,this thesis is based on the theory of the politics of scale and takes the administrative division adjustment of Wuhu city in Anhui province since 2000 as an example.Studying the process,mechanism and influence of the process,mechanism and influence result of the administrative division adjustment under the analytical framework of jumping scales and rescaling respectively.This paper is divided into six chapters,the main contents of each chapter are arranged as follows:The first chapter is the introduction.It mainly introduces the research background,research questions,research significance,research methods and data acquisition,as well as carding the research framework and main contents.The second chapter is the theoretical basis and related research review.Mainly related to relevant concepts and theories of scale,politics of scale and administrative division adjustment and related theories were sorted out,pointing out the deficiency of the research on the scale research and the adjustment of administrative divisions in china.The third chapter is the research area overview.This chapter mainly introduces the basic social and economic situation of Wuhu,the administrative scale system and the whole process of administrative division adjustment since 2000.The fourth chapter analyzes the mechanism of administrative division adjustment process under jumping scales framework.Based on the analytical framework of jumping scales,three typical cases of scale adjustment about scale up,scale down and scale into are analyzed respectively in the adjustment process of administrative divisions in Wuhu.The scaling relation,power game and transition characteristics are analyzed.The fifth chapter is the results of administrative division adjustment process under the framework of rescaling.Based on the analytical framework of rescaling,the paper makes a deep research on the rescaling caused by the three dimensions of the city,the government and the power in the process of the adjustment of administrative division.The sixth chapter is the conclusion and discussion.On the basis of summing up the main findings,this paper puts forward the deficiencies and prospects of the study.The whole thesis contains about 41 000 words,20 pictures and charts.
