The Research On Campus Property Safety Design Based On Situational Crime Prevention

With the implementation of education enrollment expansion policy and the neglect of campus management,campus security problems have become increasingly prominent,and the campus safety and property related crimes have become serious social problems.Taking the campus property safety design as the research object,based on the situational crime prevention(Situational Crime Prevention,SCP)theory,this paper analyzes the space environment of the campus property type crime and the relationship between the criminal act and the three elements(main body,aim and space-time)of crime.It also puts forward the prevention strategies of pre-crime and three elements of situational crime.And this paper proposes the situational crime prevention model for campus safety from the angle of reducing the criminal income and improving the criminal cost.On this basis,combined with the related theory and methods of designing against crime,from the perspective of the campus facility design,it puts forward the framework of the campus safety public facilities design which based on the model of SCP.Finally,putting a university in Xi’an city as an example,investigating the present situation of property crime types,this paper sums up the main features of campus crime type of property crime,designs the security facilities in the dormitory corridor and the security sites in the corridor and verifies the researchresults according to the framework of the campus safety public facilities design proposed in this paper.In this paper,the situational crime prevention theory and method are applied to the research on campus property safety design,and the paper proposes innovative ideas on campus property safety design based on which the model of SCP,and it provides a new method in the university campus safety and crime prevention practice for the design of prevention theory.
