Global warming has a wide and far-reaching impact on human productive life.Carbon dioxide emissions from fossil energy are a major contributor to global warming, and over 90% of carbon dioxide emissions from human activities originate from the use of energy. In recent years,China has taken a series of measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in terms of energy conservation and emission reduction, and has pledged to strive to achieve carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2060.The main functional area plan is a strategic, fundamental and binding plan for territorial spatial development and protection,an important basis for regional planning and urban planning, and an important guide for regional development and carbon emissions from energy consumption.Sichuan Province,as an important western province and a key region in the national main functional area zoning, has seen its carbon emissions from energy consumption increase by 80.32% from 2007 to 2019.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to carry out research on carbon emissions from energy consumption in counties of Sichuan Province based on the perspective of the main functional zones.Based on the perspective of the main functional area, this paper took 183 districts and counties in Sichuan Province as the research unit, and 2007-2019 as the research period. The spatial and temporal evolution characteristics of energy consumption carbon emissions at the provincial level and from the perspective of main functional areas were analyzed by using the center of gravity shift model, standard elliptical difference, and spatial auto-correlation.then,the degree of influence of main functional area policies on energy consumption carbon emissions was empirically analyzed by means of a break-point regression.finally, the differences of influencing factors in different main functional areas were revealed by means of the GTWR model,in order to provide a basis for differential Finally, the GTWR model was used to reveal the differences of influencing factors in different functional areas,in order to provide reference for the differential formulation of carbon emission reduction policies in Sichuan counties.Through the above study, the following conclusions are mainly obtained.(1)During the period 2007-2019,based on the provincial level of Sichuan Province, the spatial and temporal evolution of energy consumption carbon emissions are mainly characterized by the following aspects: from the temporal evolution, the energy consumption carbon emissions and per person energy consumption carbon emissions in Sichuan Province are on the rise, and the energy consumption carbon emissions intensity per unit of GDP is generally on the decline.from the spatial evolution, the counties(cities and districts)of Sichuan Province In terms of spatial evolution, the carbon emissions from energy consumption and carbon emissions from energy consumption per person in Sichuan province generally show a rising trend and the high value areas keep spreading, and the carbon emissions intensity from energy consumption per unit GDP generally shows a decreasing trend and the high value areas keep shrinking. From the spatial pattern evolution, the spatial distribution of the standard deviation ellipse covering energy consumption carbon emissions, per capital energy consumption carbon emissions and the carbon emission intensity from energy consumptionper unit of GDP has not changed much over the past 13 years,in which the standard deviation ellipse of energy consumption carbon emissions has a northeast-southwest direction with a small change in the center of gravity, moving eastward in the early stage and southward in the later stage. The ellipse of standard deviation of energy consumption carbon emission per person is in a northeast-southwest direction, with the center of gravity moving westward. The ellipse of the standard deviation of carbon emission intensity of energy consumption per unit of GDP shows an east-west direction, with a small change in the center of gravity, shifting westward in the early stage and southward in the later stage.in terms of spatial correlation, carbon emission of energy consumption, carbon emission of energy consumption per person and carbon emission intensity from energy consumption per unit of GDP all have strong spatial clustering characteristics, mainly manifesting as high-high clustering and low-low clustering.(2)During the period 2007-2019,the spatial and temporal evolution of carbon emissions from energy consumption based on the perspective of the main functional zones is mainly characterized by the following aspects: from the perspective of time evolution, the total energy consumption carbon emission and per capital energy consumption carbon emission of the five main functional areas in Sichuan Province basically show a continuous growth trend, and the energy consumption carbon emission intensity per unit GDP basically shows a fluctuating decreasing trend, all of which are basically consistent with the positioning of the main functional areas, but the growth rate is basically characterized by the opposite direction. From the perspective of spatial evolution, both energy consumption carbon emissions and per capital energy consumption carbon emissions in each main functional area show the characteristics of spatial changes of continuous diffusion in the high value areas, mainly in the form of comprehensive diffusion, axial diffusion, diffusion at both ends and dotted diffusion.the spatial pattern of energy consumption carbon emissions per unit GDP in each main functional area shows a continuous contraction in the high value areas. The spatial pattern of carbon emissions per unit GDP of energy consumption in each main functional area shows the characteristics of spatial changes of continuous contraction of high-value areas, mainly in the form of comprehensive contraction, axial contraction and local contraction.(3)The policy of the main functional area of Sichuan Province has a relatively significant inhibiting effect on the increase of carbon emissions from energy consumption in the restricted development areas(key ecological functional areas)at the national level, but the effect on carbon emissions from energy consumption in the other four main functional areas of Sichuan Province is relatively limited, indicating that the implementation of the policy of the main functional area has had an impact on carbon emissions from energy consumption in different main functional areas, but the effect of the implementation of the policy is not significant enough, and the effect of the impact on the restricted development areas(key ecological functional areas)and other functional areas at the provincial level has not yet been reflected.(4)The year-end resident population plays a catalytic role in carbon emissions from energy consumption in Sichuan counties, and the catalytic role is getting stronger. The rise in the level of urbanization is predominantly facilitating, but the facilitating effect is becoming weaker.the GDP per person policy is predominantly facilitating before its enactment and predominantly inhibiting after its enactment, and the inhibiting effect is becoming stronger.Fixed asset investment plays a catalytic role in carbon emissions from energy consumption in Sichuan counties, but the catalytic role is becoming weaker and weaker.the share of secondary industry mainly plays a catalytic role before the promulgation of the policy, but mainly plays a suppressive role after the promulgation of the policy, and the suppressive role is becoming stronger. There are differences in the degree of influence of various influencing factors on different main functional areas, and the degree of influence of influencing factors changes before and after the main functional area policy. The level of urbanization in the restricted development areas(key ecological functional areas)at the provincial level changed to a suppressive effect after the policy was promulgated. The GDP per person was mainly a promotional effect before the policy version, and a suppressive effect after the policy.the proportion of secondary industry is mainly promoted before the promulgation of the policy, but inhibited before and after the promulgation of the policy for the restricted development areas(key ecological function areas)at the provincial level, and changed to inhibited after the promulgation of the policy for the key development areas at the provincial level.
