On Reduction Of Elevator Noise

The present paper mainly introduces the importance of elevator noise,its formation background,as well as the elevator noise testing methods and standards.Due to the complexity of the elevator structure,which contains nearly one thousand spare parts,this paper attempts to summarize,synthetize and organize the four big categories and fourteen subcategories of elevator noise,with an emphasis on offering solutions to noise problems according to the sound source.The main types of elevator noise analyzed in the present work are as following:First category:Gear meshing noise:presenting the calculation method and frequency spectrum identification.Brake clearance noise:introducing the absorption collision noise,the causes and the solutions for the brake clearance noise.Steel belts and traction wheel friction noise:introducing a detailed analysis of the noise spectrum,its origins and solutions.Second category:Aerodynamic noises:presenting a definition of aerodynamic noise,together with a complete set of simulation analysis schemes.Controller cabinet noise:analyzing the elevator core control devices,defining the controller cabinet noise and its features.Inverter noise:revealing how high frequency noises are more concentrated and impact is bigger in the case of machine room-less elevators.Contactor noise:introducing the absorption collision noise,as well as a method for shearing the transmission path and achieving cost reduction.Third category:Two-way speaker murmur:showing how the impact on the customer is low.Blower noise:conducting a detailed analysis on the blower structural design and noise sources,as well as providing fundamental solutions.Guide shoe noise:discussing in detail the meaning of guide shoe noise,classification,testing methods and solutions.Fourth category:Governor noise:a thorough analysis of the governor suspension sheave noise.Soundproof pad:revealing the important role of the soundproof pad in reducing elevator noise.Suspension system noise:presenting the typical traction system and suspension system cable noises.Wheeling system noise:mainly introducing bearing noise,bearing frequency noise,bearing retainer noise,inherent defect noise,etc.Although the above 4 big categories and 14 subcategories of elevator noise do not comprise all the existing types,the present paper can provide a clear guidance for research and improvement of elevator noise.
