Highland barley is the main food crop in Tibet and the main raw material for making Zanba and highland barley wine.The cultivation and production of Tibetan highland barley is not only directly related to the living standard of Tibetan people,but also plays a very important role in stabilizing and developing Tibet’s economy.Chemical fertilizer plays an important role in the production of highland barley,which effectively promotes the yield of highland barley.Agricultural non-point source pollution mainly refers to the negative impact of pollutants in the process of agricultural production on the environment,which has seriously affected the sustainable development of agriculture.Therefore,governments around the world are actively taking measures to solve agricultural non-point source pollution.China began to study the agricultural non-point source pollution caused by excessive use of chemical fertilizer in the 1980 s,mainly focusing on the current situation of agricultural non-point source pollution caused by excessive use of chemical fertilizer,the influencing factors and how to formulate the control policy of agricultural non-point source pollution,but there are few literatures on the impact of farmers’ fertilizer use behavior on agricultural non-point source pollution.As the main body of fertilizer use,regulating farmers’ fertilizer use behavior is an important measure to control agricultural non-point source pollution.Based on the relevant literature research at home and abroad,this paper takes farmers’ behavior theory,sustainable development theory and externality theory as the theoretical basis of this study,relying on the statistical yearbook and the field survey data of barley farmers’ fertilizer use behavior in Bayi District,gongbujiangda County,Milin County,Bomi county and Chayu County of Linzhi city in July and October 2020.Using Excel and SPSS measurement software,this paper makes descriptive statistical analysis on the basic situation of highland barley farmers in Linzhi City,the household management situation of highland barley farmers,the use of chemical fertilizer of highland barley farmers,the cognition of chemical fertilizer and agricultural non-point source pollution of highland barley farmers,and the social external environment.By using binary logistic regression model,this paper empirically analyzed the influencing factors of fertilizer use behavior of highland barley farmers in Linzhi City,and determined the significant influencing factors of fertilizer use behavior of highland barley farmers in Linzhi city.In the goodness of fit test,the signiifcance(SIG)of Hosmer lemeshaw test is 0.885,more than 0.05,which shows that the overall goodness of fit of the model is very good.The regression results showed that age and whether they participated in the training of chemical fertilizer use technology had a significant negative impact on the rational use of chemical fertilizer by highland barley farmers.There are significant positive effects on the rational use of chemical fertilizer by highland barley farmers from four variables: farming years,highland barley planting area,whether they understand the toxicity of chemical fertilizer,and whether they are willing to reduce the use of chemical fertilizer to prevent agricultural non-point source pollution on the premise of ensuring the yield of highland barley.Finally,the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the rational use of chemical fertilizer by highland barley farmers were put forward.That is: strengthen the publicity of agricultural non-point source pollution,improve the awareness of environmental protection,improve farmers’ awareness of safe use of chemical fertilizer,standardize farmers’ behavior of safe use of chemical fertilizer,strengthen the publicity of fertilizer laws and policies,continuously promote the sustainable development of agriculture,carry out technical training of chemical fertilizer use,and improve farmers’ level of scientific use of chemical fertilizer.
