Taicang is located in the lower reaches of Yangtze River and near Jingyin district.The ports in taicang can have enough water depth and the annual throughput is more than 200 million tons.With the completion of the 12.5-meter water expressway between Taicang and Nanjing of the Yangtze River,more and more large sea vessels are entering and leaving the Yangtze River and passing through the waters of Taicang Port,Taicang Port becomes an important port for container transports in the Yangtze River field,which is critical for delivering bulk commodities such as building materials and iron ore.Due to the increasing scale of ports,all sectors of society pay more and more attention to port safety,especially navigation safety and production safety.Every year,the volume of ship traffic has increased significantly compared with the previous year,and the navigation problem have become more and more serious.Management is one of critical factors to the frequent occurrence of water traffic accidents.By analyzing the causes of water traffic accidents in recent years and the actual conditions of navigation of ships in the jurisdiction,it can be known that both human factors and external factors are responsible for water traffic accidents.Among all,the navigation environment is one most important external factor.Based on navigable management,the author firstly explained the actual situation of the Taicang waters of the Yangtze River and focused on the natural factors,dangerous factors,and types of ships in the Taicang section of the waters.The author also investigated the maintenance and construction level of navigable infrastructure.Secondly,the existing problems were explained and summarized here.These problems mainly cover legalization,environmental construction,and talent construction as well as port planning.Thirdly,the author further analyzed the navigational management,maintenance,and the planning of functional areas,based on the advanced experience in navigational management from national and international areas.Finally,the author proposed an effective. |
