Research On The Impact Of Environmental Regulation On Enterprise Green Technology Innovation

The rapid growth of China’s economy in recent years has been accompanied by a series of environmental problems that have directly affected the high-quality development of China’s economy.In this context,General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward the scientific conclusion that "green water and green mountains are Jinshan and Yinshan",and put the focus of developing productivity on the road of improving the ecological environment and implementing green development.For enterprises,in the face of environmental regulation constraints,implementing green technology innovation will help reduce the cost of pollution control,adapt to the new normal development of the economy,and implement green enterprise innovation transformation and upgrading minimizes the negative impact on the environment while the company’s economy is growing.Under this background,this paper takes the impact of environmental regulation on enterprise green technology innovation as the research theme,selects the relevant data of industrial enterprises above designated size from 2011 to 2017,establishes a quantitative regression model based on the Cobb-Douglas production function,and explores environmental regulation through empirical research The impact on green technology innovation of industrial enterprises above designated size,and to put forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions.The research in this article is divided into the following parts:First,the background of environmental regulation and green technology innovation of enterprises is elaborated,and the purpose,significance and current status of the research in this paper are proposed,indicating the necessity of the research.Secondly,it elaborate the relevant concepts and “porter hypothesis”,externality theories and related institutional theories of environmental regulation,green technology innovation and above-scale industries,and then on the basis of the above-mentioned theories,analyze the mechanism of the impact of environmental regulation on enterprise green technology innovation.The mechanism is divided into direct and indirect effects.Thirdly,based on the above analysis,a dynamic panel regression model is constructed,using panel data of industrial enterprises above the designated size in 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2017,and an entropy method is used to construct a comprehensive index of environmental regulation intensity.Unit root and co-integration test,and finally carry out regression analysis and robustness test of the whole and sub-regions,and empirically study the impact of environmental regulation intensity on green technology innovation of industrial enterprises above designated size.The results show that:(1)Environmental regulation promotes green technology innovation of enterprises,which is in line with the "Porter Hypothesis" theory.The difference in the intensity of environmental regulation has different impacts on the green technological innovation capabilities of enterprises,and there are regional differences.(2)Human capital plays a very significant role in promoting green technology innovation of enterprises,but there are differences in the role of the east,middle and west of the country.(3)Foreign direct investment will promote green technology innovation of enterprises,but the effect is not significant.In addition,there are regional differences in the impact of foreign direct investment on corporate green technology innovation.(4)The scale of the enterprise has played a role in promoting green technology innovation.Judging from the regression results by region,there is not much difference.Finally,combined with theoretical analysis,relevant background and empirical results,it puts forward relevant suggestions to strengthen environmental regulation to promote green technology innovation of enterprises.This article provides a certain reference for the research on the theory,empirical and countermeasures of environmental regulation and green technology innovation of enterprises relative to the green technology innovation behavior of industrial enterprises above designated size and the green development path of China.
