Environmental Information Disclosure,Environmental Regulation And Corporate Performance

The current society is at a historic stage of green development,and new development concepts have gradually penetrated into all aspects of the economy and society and gradually lead the trend of the times.As one of my country’s basic and pillar industries,chemical companies are also typical representatives of heavy-polluting industries.Doing a good job in environmental protection transformation and green production should become the key tasks of chemical companies at this stage.Research on environmental information disclosure,environmental regulations and corporate performance can enable companies to realize the impact of environmental information disclosure on their production and operations,thereby guiding companies to establish environmental awareness and promote environmental protection.The case study of this article is carried out as follows:(1)Descriptive statistics of Wanhua Chemical’s environmental information disclosure from 2015 to 2019 are carried out,and the company’s EDI index is calculated based on the established environmental information disclosure level indicator system.It is found that Wanhua Chemical’s environmental information disclosure is relatively good for the industry as a whole,but it has not yet reached the level of excellent rating.(2)Perform descriptive statistics on the implementation of regulations of Wanhua Chemical Corporation from 2015 to 2019 and introduce PITI index to evaluate the intensity of government regulations.From the perspective of policy formulation and government supervision,it is found that environmental regulations have a positive effect on the level of corporate environmental information disclosure.To influence.(3)The analysis of Wanhua Chemical’s environmental information disclosure,environmental regulations and the correlation of corporate performance found that environmental regulations can promote environmental information disclosure at the policy formulation level,and can help companies maintain environmental information disclosure levels at the government supervision level;environmental information disclosure Only in the total asset turnover index of corporate performance,there is a positive correlation,and there is no correlation in profitability,solvency and growth ability.(4)Summarize the remaining problems in Wanhua Chemical’s environmental information disclosure work,analyze the causes of the problems,and put forward corresponding improvement suggestions.In general,Wanhua Chemical,as a state-owned enterprise background and a relatively good company in environmental information disclosure in the industry,still has many problems in the process of environmental information disclosure,which is enough to show that it is urgent to strengthen the guidance of environmental information disclosure in the chemical industry.It should be one of the priorities of my country’s environmental management and disclosure norm system construction.
