The Impact Of JX Company’s Environmental Accounting Information Disclosure On Enterprise Performance

Pollution first and pollution control later are the old ways that many countries have gone through.China learns from the lessons of foreign development and,while developing its economy,promulgates a series of regulations and policies requiring enterprises to develop green and reduce the damage to the environment.The disclosure of environmental accounting information by enterprises not only conforms to the trend of the times of green development,but also helps to improve the performance of enterprises and to form a win-win situation for the environment and enterprises.This paper analyses the impact of JX’s environmental accounting information disclosure on corporate performance,and offers advice.Firstly,this paper introduces the background and significance,elaborates the literature of domestic and foreign scholars on the disclosure of environmental accounting information,and the impact of environmental accounting information disclosure on performance,and analyses the content,form,influencing factors and improvement suggestions of corporate environmental information disclosure,as well as the impact of environmental information disclosure on performance.In addition,this paper defines the concept of environmental accounting information and corporate performance and briefly describes relevant theories.Based on this,it makes a general analysis of this impact.Then take JX Company as a case company,design the scoring standard of environmental accounting information level,and calculate the environmental accounting information disclosure index of JX Company.This paper makes a descriptive analysis of the current situation of environmental accounting information disclosure of JX Company and the impact of environmental accounting information disclosure on corporate performance.In this paper,the environmental accounting information disclosure index is used as an alternative indicator of the level of environmental information disclosure,the weighted average return on net assets is used as indicators to replace the performance of enterprises,the scale of enterprises,the independent directors and main income growth rate are used as control variables,and government regulation and enterprise’s attention to image as regulating variables to construct a multiple linear regression model.This paper makes correlation analysis and regression analysis on the impact of JX’s environmental accounting information disclosure on enterprise performance from 2012 to 2017,the strengthening effect of government regulation and enterprise’s emphasis on image,and carries out robustness test.Based on this,the conclusions drawn from the case study are verified.Then this paper analyses the shortcomings of JX company’s environmental information disclosure,and puts forward suggestions from the perspective of the government,JX company itself and other relevant groups.Finally,the conclusion is drawn:(1)Although the level of environmental accounting information disclosure of JX Company fluctuates from 2012 to 2017,it is generally higher and has made great progress in recent years.(2)Judging from the data of JX company from 2012 to 2017,JX’s environmental accounting information disclosure has a positive impact on performance.(3)From the data of companies in paper industry from 2012 to 2017,environmental accounting information disclosure has a significant positive impact on corporate performance.(4)Government regulation and enterprises’ emphasis on image have no significant effect on the performance of enterprises in paper industry.The reason may be that the system of government supervision is insufficient and the environmental awareness of companies and the public needs to be improved.(5)There are some problems in JX’s environmental information disclosure,such as the subjective influence of information disclosure,the lack of comparability of information disclosure and the insufficient attention paid to the preparation of environmental reports.(6)To improve the level of environmental information disclosure,JX company itself,government departments and other relevant groups need to work together.
