Research On The Influence Of Environmental Regulation On The Upgrading Of China’s Export Technology

Since China joined the world trade organization in 2001,foreign trade has developed rapidly,but the deterioration of the trade environment is becoming more and more obvious.As the domestic population structure changes,the aging problem becomes increasingly prominent,the demographic dividend gradually disappears,and the labor advantages of other developing countries become increasingly prominent,leading to the outward migration of processing trade in China’s coastal areas.China’s export trade mode,which relies on low prices to promote the growth of trade volume,cannot achieve long-term sustainable development.On the other hand,the environmental problems brought about by China’s extensive development model have gradually attracted the attention of the government and the public.The Chinese government has incorporated environmental protection into its basic state policy and formulated long-term development plans for eco-city construction,energy conservation and emission reduction.At present,China’s economic development is faced with the dual challenges of trade mode transformation and environmental regulation,which will inevitably affect the upgrading of export technology content.In this context,this paper will discuss how environmental regulations affect the upgrading of export technology content,so as to promote domestic economic growth and industrial innovation and upgrading with the upgrading of export technology content while reasonably implementing environmental protection policies.This paper is divided into five parts:the first part is the introduction,stated in the introduction the research background,research significance of this article,from the environmental regulation,export technology and environmental regulation on export technical content three aspects:the influence of the literature review,and to the literature are discussed,at the same time,this paper expounds the research method,innovation points of this article and the deficiency of this article.The second part is the theoretical basis.Based on the factor endowment theory,technology gap theory,trade gain hypothesis and porter’s theory,this paper explains the theoretical mechanism of the impact of environmental regulation on the upgrading of export technology content under the Chinese sample,so as to provide a theoretical basis for the empirical study of this paper.The third part is the status quo analysis,which expounds the definition of environmental regulation,introduces the measurement method of environmental regulation and export technology content,and analyzes the historical development and current situation of China’s environmental regulation and export technology content based on statistical data.The fourth part is the empirical analysis,based on ke sermons glass production function,constructs a model of static panel can be used in the empirical analysis,the overall and regional regression analysis in two dimensions,and introduce other four factors as control variable,on the basis of the empirical analysis it is concluded that the impact of these factors on the export technical upgrade.The fifth part in th conclusion and policy Suggestions.Aiming at the current situation and existing problems of China’s export,this paper puts forward reasonable policy Suggestions from four aspects:increasing investment in technological innovation,strengthening environmental regulation,implementing differentiated environmental regulation policies,and formulating reasonable policies to attract foreign investment.On the basis of previous studies,this paper used panel data from 31 provinces,municipalities and autonomous regions of China from 2005 to 2017 to make an empirical study on the impact of environmental regulation on the upgrading of export technology content.Research results show that the influence of environmental regulation on export technology upgrade is positively "U" shape,namely the implementation of environmental regulation in the early stages will hinder the export technology upgrade,the turning point of environmental regulation on export technical upgrade play a role in promoting,but China is still in a "U" shaped curve inflection point at this stage of the left.Moreover,the impact of environmental regulation on the upgrading of export technology content in different regions of China is different,and the implementation of environmental regulation policy has the greatest impact on the eastern region.It has a great influence on the western region.The impact on the central region is uncertain.Therefore,the innovation of this paper is as follows:firstly,when studying the impact of environmental regulation on the upgrading of export technology content,it subdivides the regions and studies the effects on different regions respectively.Secondly,this paper has some improvement and breakthrough in the method of measuring export technology content.The disadvantage of this paper is that,due to the availability of data,this paper does not carry out research on the division of different industries in the region.
