Since the reform and opening-up,the economy of China has developed rapidly,which makes China’s overall level of development has been improved rapidly.However,many economic development achievements are made at the expense of environmental pollution.This high-pollution economic development model does not meet the requirements of China’s sustainable development strategy,so the Chinese government has proposed relevant environmental regulation measures.After the implementation of environmental regulation,the pollution industries will be eliminated or upgraded.And the team of clean industries will be expanded,so as to optimize and upgrade the industrial structure.In order to give full play to the role of environmental regulation and promote the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure,it is necessary for us to study the influence of environmental regulation on the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure.Firstly,this paper sorts out the current research situation of environmental regulation and industrial structure at home and abroad,and the current development situation of our country.With the help of city data from 2004 to 2016,the industrial structure rationalization index and the industrial structure advanced index are introduced to evaluate the industrial structure optimization and upgrading,and the direct effect and the spatial spillover effect are analyzed by using the spatial Dubin Model.Finally,the spatial heterogeneity is analyzed based on the eastern,central and western Sectional Figure Skating Championships and the city scale.This paper draws the following conclusions: The impact of environmental regulation on the upgrading of industrial structure is a "U" type relationship.The impact of environmental regulation on the rationalization of industrial structure is an inverted "U" type relationship.And the environmental regulation Index has the space overflow effect in these two aspects.The study also finds that the impact of environmental regulation on the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure has a certain spatial heterogeneity.The classifies and regresses based on region are just as follows: As awhole,whether in the east,the mid or the western,environmental regulation has a significant impact on the upgrading of industrial structure.However,there are differences in the impacts of environmental regulations on the rationalization of industrial structure.The impact of environmental regulation is significant in the eastern region,but not in the western region.The classifies and regresses based on city size are just as follows: In mega-cities,there are significant direct effects and spatial spillover effects of environmental regulation index on the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure;However,in big cities,the spatial spillover effect of environmental regulation on the rationalization of industrial structure is no longer significant;In small and medium-sized cities,both the significance and the correlation coefficient are somewhat weaker than those in large cities.Especially in small cities,the influence of environmental regulation on the rationalization of industrial structure is not significant. |
