| Driven by the development strategy of regional integration, the Yangtze River Delta as an important intersection of Chinese "Belt and Road" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, has entered a period of accelerated development focusing on high quality. However, accumulative problems such as environmental pollution still exist, especially the unreasonable industrial space structure caused by repeated industrial layouts and disparity in regional industrial development level has created a lot of waste of resources and environmental pollution, which have become a major constraint and shortcoming of high-quality integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta. Therefore,it is of great practical significance to discuss the impact of the industrial space structure of the Yangtze River Delta on environmental pollution in optimizing the industrial space structure of the Yangtze River Delta and achieving effective governance of environmental pollution. This article summarizes the problems of the industrial space structure in the Yangtze River Delta by clarifying the evolution of the industrial space structure and environmental pollution in the Yangtze River Delta. On this basis, the specific mechanism of the industrial space structure affecting environmental pollution is proposed.Meanwhile, according to Yangtze River Delta city panel data from 2007 to 2016,this paper uses the dynamic space panel Dubin model for empirical analysis. The research gets the following conclusions.Firstly, the degree of industrial spatial agglomeration in the Yangtze River Delta gradually decreases and shows a location distribution characteristic of northwest-southeast trend. The industrial spatial agglomeration mode is mainly characterized by high-high agglomeration and low-low agglomeration, however, there are few high-high agglomeration cities and they are moving northward.Secondly, the impact of the industrial spatial structure of the Yangtze River Delta on environmental pollution is reflected in two aspects. On the one hand, industrial agglomeration shows a significant inverted "N-shaped” relationship with environmental pollution. On the other hand, the influence of the spatial correlation of industrial agglomeration points on environmental pollution is affected by the relative position and the degree of information interaction of the agglomeration points, the former reflects that the local industrial agglomeration will increase the environmental pollution of the surrounding cities, and the latter reflects that the increased degree of information interaction caneffectively reduce environmental pollution.Thirdly, from the perspective of industry heterogeneity, the difference between the impact of high-tech industry and low-medium-tech industrial space structure on environmental pollution reflects two aspects.First,high-tech industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution show a significant inverted "U-shaped"relationship,while low-medium-tech industrial agglomeration and environmental pollution show a significant positive "U-shaped" relationship.Second, local high-tech industrial agglomeration can effectively reduce pollution emissions in surrounding cities, while local low-medium-tech industrial agglomeration will increase environmental pollution in surrounding cities. Finally, based on the inter-industry technology spillover effect,it is found that the low-medium-tech industrial agglomeration can effectively reduce the accelerating effect on local and surrounding cities environmental pollution by high-tech industrial technology spillovers, but there is a certain regional boundary. This study has the following implications for optimizing the industrial spatial structure of the Yangtze River Delta and achieving effective environmental pollution control.First of all, exert a leading function of high-high agglomeration cities in Shanghai,Jiangsu and other regions, and lead the high-quality integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.Second, strengthen the industrial agglomeration capabilities of the Yangtze River Delta, and fully release the energy-saving and emission-reduction effects of technological spillovers, specialized division of labor, and centralized environmental supervision.Besides, enhance the information interaction degree of industrial gathering points in various regions, and fully demonstrate the effectiveness of technology communication, talent exchange, and policy coordination in environmental pollution control. At last, promote coordinated development among industries to form a development pattern with reasonable division of labor, complementary advantages, and unique characteristics. |
