The feel style of the fabric is the intuitive judgment after people’s sensory organs perceive the mechanical properties ang physical properties of the fabric.The compositive evaluation of the judgment results made by the brain is a critical factor affecting people to judge the quality of the fabric and affect the sales of textile products.With the change of consumption concept,consumers for automobile interior requirements in addition to beautiful and generous,also pay special attention to the additional quality control,such as improving the roof fabric stiffness,softness,fluffy feel style characteristics,but for a long time the fabric style evaluation identification,has been by expert subjective senses,lack of objective evaluation tools and methods,the evaluation results are not objective and accurate,therefore,how to use the instrument method objective evaluation of textile feel,textile development,evaluation and application has very important significance.This paper selects 21 kinds of popular vehicle roof warpwoven fabrics on the market,and studies the structural parameters of the fabric and the influence of the ceiling fabric composite process on the fabric feel style respectively based on Phabr Ometer?.The main research contents and results are as follows:(1)Through the theory analysis method of grey system,the specification parameters of warp knitted fabric for vehicle roof and its various hand feeling styles are analyzed,and the conclusions are as follows: the order affecting the softness performance of the polyester warp knitting material is: weft density,area density,thickness,warp density,yarn’s linear density of rear guide bar,yarn’s linear density of front and middle guide bar.The order of factors affecting the stiffness and toughness of polyester warp knitting is: weft density,area density,thickness,yarn’s linear density of rear guide bar,yarn’s linear density of front and middle guide bar.The order of the factors affecting the smoothness of polyester warp knitting materials are: weft density,area density,thickness,yarn’s linear density of rear guide bar,yarn’s linear density of front and middle guide bar.When other conditions are similar,the softness coefficient of the fabric generally decreases with the increase of the area density.The greater the area density,the larger the warp and weft density and count per unit area,reduce the softness coefficient of the fabric,and reduce the softness.The stiffness and toughness coefficient of the fabric generally increases with the increase of the area density,the greater the area density,the higher warp and weft density and count per unit area,and the stiffness and toughness coefficient of the fabric increases.(2)Through the theoretical analysis of the gray system and the quantitative analysis of the fabric thickness and the drape coefficient of the roof fabric,the correlation and influence ranking of the fabric specification and the drape performance can be obtained.And the drape coefficient of the roof fabric generally increases with the increase of the fabric thickness.When other conditions are similar,the higher the fabric thickness is,the drape coefficient of the fabric increases,and thus the drape performance decreases.(3)Using the theoretical analysis of gray system and the qualitative analysis of fabric thickness and wrinkle recovery coefficient of roof fabric,the correlation and influence ranking of fabric specification and wrinkle recovery performance can be obtained.And with the increase of the fabric thickness,the fabric wrinkle recovery performance increases.However,if the thickness of the fabric always increases,as the friction force and binding force between the yarn continuously increase,the wrinkle formed by the fabric is not easy to recover,and the wrinkle recovery performance is reduced.(4)Through the comparison of different structure fabric feel style,get in other conditions are consistent,by three guide bar knitted fabric toughness can be better than by two guide bar knitted fabric,and the pillar structure fabric toughness can be better than other containing atlas structure fabric,at the same time wrinkle recovery performance is better.(5)Then the change of the feel of composite fabric is furtherly discussed.It is concluded that the higher the thickness of the sponge soft foam in the composite process,the better the toughness of the composite fabric,the softness and smoothness will decrease,and the overhang and fold recovery performance will also become worse.
