Mass customization is a production mode combining the advantages of mass production and customized production,which plays a positive role in improving customer satisfaction,optimizing enterprise organizational structure and enterprise market competitiveness.The development of garment mass customization is the only way for China's garment industry to enhance its international competitiveness and is the key point for garment production enterprises to seek breakthroughs in transformation and upgrading.However,the production lines of most garment manufacturers cannot meet the requirements of mass customization.With the deep integration of information technology and production technology,garment manufacturing enterprises have gradually begun to standardize,digitize and flexible garment production lines.The technical obstacles preventing garment manufacturing enterprises from implementing mass customization are gradually disappearing.Firstly,this paper describes the basic principle of mass customization.Based on this,the analysis of the implementation of the basic characteristics of mass customization for garment was finished.General production mode for garment mass customization was proposed based on the characteristics of general production mode.The relevant technology in garment mass customization was studied.Through the research,it was found that improving flexibility of garment production line is the key point of upgrading the mass customization enterprise.Secondly,aiming at the flexible production requirements of garment mass customization,a flexible production line for garment mass customization was designed.The flexible production line mainly consists of two parts.one is the production information collaboration system and the other is flexible material transmission system.The two parts are connected by the reliable industrial wireless LAN to form an integral entity and realize the information collaboration in the production process.Finally,based on the above research and design,the following exploration and experiment was finished:(1)CPS(Cyber-physical Systems)system for garment production is developed.Based on wireless card reader,a universal production status information collection system is designed,including wireless card reader,industrial wireless production network and server system.It can collect the precise time and location information of each station when the BOM is transferred on the production line and it helps MES(manufacturing execution system)to realize the visualization and transparent management of all production tasks on the production line by tracking all production orders.(2)A paperless process information active push system based on PLM(Product Lifecycle Management)was designed.Based on the production status collection information system,the collaboration system of personnel,equipment,materials and information for standardized production was established during information of the active paperless process by pushing the production tasks of multiple varieties,flexible batch and short delivery time.It realizes the data collaboration in the production process.(3)A double-layer double-track hanging line system is designed.Through the redesign of the actuator of the existing hanging line system,the functions of flexible station combination,sharing of semi-finished material cache area and material screening are realized.It makes up the lack of flexible production function of the existing production line which the modular production of complex products and the mixed production of multiple varieties can be carried on.In additional,the design provides basic support for serial and parallel hybrid production,and also provides a new idea for reducing production wait and improving customized production efficiency.This paper lays a foundation for the realization of flexible production line for garment mass customization.
