The proposal of Industry 4.0 strategy and the advancement of computer science and technology have promoted the continuous innovation of garment virtual design.Utilizing the virtual try-on and virtual display functions of the garment virtual technology,designers can directly experience the virtual dressing effect of the garment and quickly modify to obtain the desired garment style.Meanwhile,the idea of modular design has gradually penetrated into the design process of garment.Modular design can effectively ease the contradiction between mass production and personalized design of garment,and build a communication bridge between garment companies and consumers.The application of garment virtual technology and modular design makes the function of the garment design system more perfect,which can further optimize the customer experience,improve product design efficiency,shorten the product design cycle and reduce production costs.This article discusses the modular virtual design based on garment customization.Firstly,the modular design theory is used to divide the products into modules,and the correlation between garment modules and styles and between garment modules and modules is analyzed.Then,the garment module is modeled in the garment virtual design system,and the module recommendation is made according to the customer’s individual needs,and finally the product modular configuration design is completed to form the customized product required by the customer.Take the ladies’ sweater category as an example to divide the modules according to the characteristics of the garment structure.First of all,get 500 sweaters from Taobao to analyze their style structure and component elements,and classify the styles to provide a reference for the division of sweaters.Then divide the modules based on the module functions,usually divided into basic modules,auxiliary modules and special modules.The basic modules of sweaters mainly include body,sleeve and collar modules,the auxiliary modules include pocket,button and zipper modules,and the special modules include printing,embroidery and belt modules.Finally,a mathematical model is proposed to analyze the correlation between sweater modules and styles,and between modules.This method can provide module recommendation services for enterprise designers and planners,which is convenient for quickly assembling and designing products that meet the needs of the garment market.Carry out the three-dimensional virtual modeling for ladies’ sweater module and upload it to the design platform to explore the practical application feasibility of the sweater’s modular virtual design scheme.First,use Style 3D software to perform the three-dimensional virtual design on the component elements corresponding to each module to form a corresponding virtual model.At the same time,upload the model to the design platform corresponding to Style 3D,and deposit the design resources to form the corresponding database.Then introduce the platform’s technical composition and section architecture,and analyze the company’s actual product development process.Finally,a virtual sample is obtained by the enterprise designer and product planner in combination with the module recommendation result configuration module,and the entire process of producing the garment is produced to verify the implementation feasibility of the modular virtual design scheme.Based on the above research,a set of the relatively standard modular virtual design system is established to enable enterprises to better design and research and develop products based on market changes.
