| Polyethylene wax is an important lubricant,which is widely used in the processing of polymer materials.With the development of multifunctional polymer material additives,the polyethylene wax has been functionalized and modified,and it has become a polyethylene wax.An important direction of research.This topic uses benzoyl peroxide(BPO)as the initiator and maleic anhydride(MAH)as the grafting monomer to study the graft modification of polyethylene wax.Under the conditions of different reaction temperature,reaction time,addition amount of initiator and monomer addition,the polyethylene wax was grafted and modified,and the optimal conditions for the grafting of polyethylene wax to MAH were discussed,and the different grafting ratios of polyethylene were studied.The properties of wax and the application of MAH grafted polyethylene wax in polyvinyl chloride(PVC)and asphalt materials were discussed.Research indicates:(1)Through the research of maleic anhydride grafting polyethylene wax,the main factors affecting the grafting rate of polyethylene wax are reaction time,reaction temperature,MAH addition amount and initiator BPO addition amount,and the magnitude of the effect on the grafting rate The relationship is: reaction temperature>MAH dosage>initiator addition amount>reaction time.(2)The higher the temperature,the higher the grafting rate of polyethylene wax,but higher than 150 °C will cause the grafting rate of polyethylene wax to decrease;the longer the reaction time,the higher the grafting rate will be,but the time exceeds3 h,the grafting rate will decrease when the temperature is too high;comprehensive reaction conditions,the best reaction conditions for grafting polyethylene wax are reaction temperature 140 °C,reaction time 3 h,MAH concentration 8 %,initiator concentration 0.6 %,then grafting polyethylene The grafting rate of wax reaches the maximum,and the maximum grafting rate is 7.24 %.(3)The performance characterization analysis of grafted polyethylene waxes with different grafting rates showed that the viscosity,softening point,molecular weight and other indicators will increase after polyethylene wax grafting,and the higher the grafting rate of grafted polyethylene wax,The higher the viscosity,the higher the softening point and the higher the viscosity average molecular weight;after polyethylene wax grafting,the softening point reaches 131 °C,the viscosity is1300,and the viscosity average molecular weight is 3100.(4)In the application experiment of PVC,adding grafted polyethylene wax can shorten the plasticizing time of PVC,and the effect is obviously better than that of polyethylene wax.The larger the amount of grafted polyethylene wax is,the more obvious the effect is,but the torque will be slightly increased compared with that of polyethylene wax.(5)In the application experiment of asphalt waterproof material,adding grafted polyethylene wax can improve the adhesion of asphalt,make the asphalt waterproof material not easy to flow at high temperature,and the effect is better than other additives,and the larger the amount is,the more obvious the effect is. |
