Buton Rock Asphalt is a kind of Natural Rock Asphalt which produces from Buton Island of Indonesia.Which is Paleozoic oil osmosising into the rock layer,and through long term pressuring and geologic processing.It contains 24%asphalt and the rest of it is limestone mineral.The inside substance is well distributed which has good applicable value.There are a lot of researches about Buton Rock Asphalt both domestic and the overseas.However most of them have been used in road paved which is weigh less than what it should be.In order to widen the application,in this essay the researcher uses extraction into solvent method to get the asphalt oil and then by high temperature sedimentation,filtrating,mixturing,modifying and so on to get pricey asphalt(60#Polishing Asphalt and Modified Asphalt).The way to extract the oil content from Indonesia Buton Rock Asphal is solvent extraction method and vacuum method.To analyze the advantage and disadvantage from the two methods,we can infer the solvent extraction method to extract the oil content from Indonesia Buton Rock Asphal.Taking the residual oil as the solvent,I pay more attention to research the effects to the asphalt oil percent recovery under different mixing ratio of Buton Rock Asphalt and vacuum residual oil,reaction temperature,reaction time,surface active agent.The testing result indicate:under the condition of,ratio 2:3 of Buton Rock Asphalt and vacuum residual oil,reaction temperature at 150 ?,time 2.5 hours,surface active agent(w%)0.4%,the percent recovery of asphalt oil is up to 92.1%.It's index of penetration(25 ?,100 g,5 s,0.1 mm):82.8,Softening point(ring-and-ball apparatus,?):44.5,Ductility(5 cm/min,25 ?,cm):22.Processing the oil content by adjusting the percentage of material and adding organic polymer to improve softening point and penetration.And then adding 90#asphalt to make 60#polishing asphalt.When Uses Buton rock asphalt to produce SBS modified asphalt,the cost of producing decreased a lot.Adding SBS decreases penetration,increases soften point and trend.Considering cost of asphalt,the best percentage of SBS is 1-2%.In this essay,the researcher also includes how to make Bentonite modified asphalt by using Buton Rock Asphalt.It discusses the effets of the precentage of Bentonite,timing,temperature.And discussing how these tests reflect on penetration,soften point and trend of asphalt.The result is with the Bentonite modified asphalt,it decreases the penetration and trend and increases the soften point.The best percentage of Bentonite is 12%?15%.
