Research On The Design Method Of Modern Chinese Traditional Style Men’s Formal Dress Based On "Time Principle"

This paper focuses on the problem of the lack of obvious time-oriented elements in the design of modern Chinese traditional style men’s formal dress,and the difficulty in keeping with the rules that clearly distinguished between day and night in the international convention of The Dress Code,through the study of The Dress Code and the characteristics of the modern Chinese traditional style men’s formal dress design,in view of the “T”(time)principle in TPO theory,innovatively puts forward the “time principle” theory,which modern Chinese traditional style men’s formal dress design needs to pay attention to,that is,the three-level principles of“time”,“season” and “moment”.In view of the current situation that the same type of research is either too specific and confined to local details,or too broad and “metaphysical”,as well as the lack of systematicness and regularity in the design of Chinese traditional style men’s formal dress,based on the “time principle” and around the “three elements”(style,fabric and color)of fashion design,this paper aims to establish a set of modern Chinese traditional style men’s formal dress design system,hopes to provide a practical reference for designers,and intends to start further discussion on this issue,provides a new way to study the standardization and systematization of modern Chinese traditional style men’s formal dress design method.
