As the pillar industry of China’s energy economy,the healthy development of coal industry plays an important role in the stability and development of China’s economy.With the increasing competition,many coal enterprises can not meet the needs of enterprise performance management.As the core of performance management,how to establish a performance evaluation system suitable for the development of enterprises is particularly important.Get rid of the limitation of paying too much attention to financial performance index in the past,and establish a strategy-oriented and comprehensive performance evaluation system.As a new performance management system,balanced scorecard not only pays attention to economic benefits,but also focuses on social benefits assessment.The effective combination of financial index and management index fully reflects the scientific and comprehensive performance evaluation method in selecting indicators,and increases the attention to management performance indicators while pursuing the maximization of enterprise and shareholder value.This comprehensive and modern performance evaluation system is not only an improvement of enterprise performance management level,but also an effective means to promote long-term healthy development.On the basis of studying and referring to the previous research at home and abroad,this paper combs the literature related to enterprise performance evaluation by using balanced scorecard,takes China Coal Energy as the research object of the paper,and analyzes the shortcomings of its existing performance evaluation system,such as incomplete performance indicators,not closely related to strategic objectives,ignoring social responsibility and unfavorable to the sustainable and healthy development of enterprises.On the basis of making up for these shortcomings,combining with the actual production and operation of coal energy,taking the strategic goal as the guide,and on the basis of the original dimension of the balanced scorecard,we should add the dimension of social responsibility.Finally,the system is used to apply the performance of coal energy in 2019,and the analysis of different dimensions of performance draws conclusions and puts forward corresponding suggestions to improve the performance management level of coal energy.
