In order to effectively promote the coal industry to resolve excess capacity and industrial structure transformation and upgrading,it is necessary to rationally evaluate the performance of Chinese coal enterprises in the past and make adjustments for the current operation and management activities.Second,we should effectively explore the reasonable way to improve the performance of coal enterprises.It is of great significance to promote our coal industry quality development.Firstly,this paper takes 30 Chinese listed coal companies in 2013,2016 and 2021 as research samples,constructs a five-dimensional index system based on the balanced scorecard framework,uses the entropy method to assign weight to calculate the comprehensive performance scores of coal enterprises in different years and evaluates them.Secondly,on the basis of sorting out previous research literature,it tries to take financial factors,market factors,organizational factors,technical factors,environmental factors and non-market factors into the consideration of coal enterprise performance.Then,technological innovation,market share,economic added value,efficiency of returns to scale,cleaner production and government subsidies are taken as antecedent variables,and the comprehensive performance score of coal enterprises is taken as the result variable.fsQCA method is used to investigate the influence of different configurations formed by interaction of each antecedent variable on the performance of coal enterprises and their dynamic evolution.And carry out further analysis of the nature and regional heterogeneity of coal enterprises.Finally,some proposals are put forward to promote the performance improvement and high-quality development of coal enterprises.The results show that:(1)Shenhua of China has the best performance in 2013,2016 and 2021,while the performance of other coal enterprises increases alternately.The performance of coal enterprises in different years presents a differentiated distribution trend.(2)In different years,coal enterprises’ performance enhancement configuration path shows obvious dynamic change characteristics.The core conditions gradually transition from government subsidy to market share and economic value added.(3)There are obvious differences in the configuration paths of performance improvement of state-owned and stateowned coal enterprises in different years.The configuration paths of performance improvement of coal enterprises in northern and southern regions differ greatly in 2013 and 2016,but the configuration paths of performance improvement in 2021 are basically the same. |
