Research On Design And Application Of Nanjing Velvet Flower

The homonym of Nanjing velvet flower "Ronghua" appeared in the court as early as the Wu Zetian period.It was popular in the Song Dynasty,flourished in the Ming and Qing Dynasties and spread among the people,representing China's rich and noble culture.After the Republic of China,due to the change of people's aesthetic taste and the limitations of velvet flower itself,the demand decreased.Nanjing velvet flower has gradually faded out of people's lives,and there are only a handful of craftsmen willing to learn the craftsmanship of Nanjing velvet flower,and the training of new inheritors is not optimistic.Thanks to the persistence of a small number of velvet craftsmen,Nanjing velvet flower survived.In 2006,Nanjing velvet flower was shortlisted for "Jiangsu Province Intangible Cultural Heritage";in 2010,Nanjing velvet flower was awarded the "Most Beautiful Handicraft in the Eyes of Young People in the World",which fully proves that Nanjing velvet flower still has a research value that cannot be ignored.This thesis aims to save the existing difficulties of Nanjing velvet flower,improve its popularity,and broaden its application fields,so as to achieve cross-field integration,inherit intangible cultural heritage,expand the market demand of Nanjing velvet flower,and narrow the distance with people.First,establish the research background and purpose of Nanjing velvet flower,and analyze the current research status of Nanjing velvet flower;secondly,use the methods of literature research,investigation and comparison,field investigation and inductive deduction to sort out the development context of Nanjing velvet flower and analyze The artistic characteristics of Nanjing velvet flowers and the beauty of design in terms of modeling patterns,craft materials,and cultural connotations;finally,using this as a basis,carry forward the advantages of Nanjing velvet flowers and integrate them with modern design concepts and comprehensive materials,and contribute to the development of modern Nanjing velvet flowers.Inheritance provides new ideas to achieve the purpose of broadening the field and being close to life.It is hoped that the research in this paper can contribute to the inheritance,innovation and sustainable development of Nanjing velvet flower,play a positive role in the future design and development of Nanjing velvet flower,and also contribute to the promotion of Nanjing's urban spirit.
