Cultural Anthropological Study Of Longdong Paper-cut Symbols

The traditional paper-cutting of Longdong is rooted in the folk area of Longdong,with a strong folk color and local sentiment.The shape,color,and ornamentation all have a heavy loess cultural style.However,the inertial force of modern civilization has caused people to deviate in their cultural choices.The themes of paper-cutting in various places tend to be unified,the regional characteristics and themes are gradually weakening,and the traditional paper-cutting of Longdong is gradually fading out of people’s vision.On the basis of previous studies,this study applies the relevant theories of cultural anthropology,and starts from the symbolic elements to deeply trace the traditional Longdong paper cutting.On this basis,the symbolic connotation of Longdong paper cutting symbols is theoretically analyzed.Firstly,the thesis summarizes the field investigation,traces the historical and cultural origin of Longdong paper cutting,introduces the production process of paper cutting,and summarizes and classifis the symbols of Longdong paper cutting.Then it analyzes the deep structure of the symbolic connotation of the Longdong paper-cut symbols,and interprets the symbolic thinking,aesthetic pursuit and the relationship between the paper-cut symbols in depth.In the discussion part,the present society,the symbol as the driving force of Longdong paper-cut inheritance and its inheritance and innovation were discussed.Through the research,it is found that,firstly,in the creative thinking,the Longdong paper cutting symbols continue the traditional mode of thinking of mutual infiltration of the ancestors of Longdong.Through the perfect expression of symbols,it fully reflects the traditional culture of the Longdong region.Secondly,wishing life prosperity is the main theme of Longdong paper-cut symbolism.Longdong paper-cut symbol maintains the courage and ambition of human childhood,which are not deep in the world.It is a comprehensive modeling of all supernatural forms and beyond objective logic,and it is the demonstration of Longdong people’s concept of creating the world and happiness.Thirdly,Longdong paper cutting art has been popular for a long time in the Longdong area.It deeply expresses the life outlook and values of Longdong people through the symbolic way of shape and subject.Fourthly,the artists of Longdong paper cutting show what they see and hear in paper cutting,and endowing these paper cutting symbols with certain aesthetic taste.On the basis of aesthetic taste,these symbols are endowed with special symbolic meaning.Through the interpretation of Longdong paper cutting symbols,is conducive to deepening the understanding of Longdong paper cutting,so that this wonderful art is not in the historical process of decline.
