Innovative Research On Traditional Batik Of Miao In Western Hunan In Contemporary Women’s Clothing Art

The traditional batik of Xiangxi Miao is the carrier of the history and culture of Xiangxi.It reflects the aesthetic concepts,historical changes,religious worship and beliefs of the Miao people.It is the physical manifestation of the ethnic spirit and the unique production and lifestyle of the Miao people.Ethnic identity and sense of belonging.It has multiple values such as historical value,cultural value,folk value,aesthetic value,and economic value.However,with the changes of the times and the advancement of technology,people’s lifestyles and values have changed accordingly.The survival status of the traditional batik of the Miao in Xiangxi is worrying.The original ecological culture is endangered,the aging of the inheritance personnel,the replacement of manual work by machines,and the weak awareness of innovation have become an important influencing factor for the inheritance and development of the batik of the Miao in Xiangxi.While the traditional batik of Xiangxi Miao has been widely concerned and loved by domestic and foreign tourists,it also created a series of questions: how to protect and inherit the Miao batik culture? How to adapt the Miao batik to the lifestyle of contemporary people and meet the aesthetic concept of contemporary people? In addition,contemporary women’s lifestyles and aesthetics are constantly changing,and their demand for clothing has a deeper psychological need.The author has collected a large number of historical documents,video materials and physical materials around the two main subjects of traditional batik and contemporary women’s clothing art in the Miao of Xiangxi,and combed through the methods of literature survey,field investigation,imaging and interdisciplinary comprehensive research.The following problems were found: First,there is a scarcity of literature on traditional batik in Xiangxi recorded in historical materials.It is difficult to verify the history of batik in Miao people in Xiangxi.In-depth exploration of Miao history,social changes,ethnic identity psychology,etc.The second is the unclear innovation path of the traditional batik in western Hunan applied to contemporary women’s clothing.Therefore,studying the integration of Miao batik art and contemporary women’s clothing,exploring the law and path of its integration,and achieving the innovative transformation and inheritance of traditional batik art to contemporary clothing art are the key content of this topic.The purpose of this project is to protect and inherit the batik culture of the Miao in western Hunan,explore the innovative application path of traditional batik in western Hunan in contemporary women’s clothing,and enhance the connotation of contemporary women’s clothing design.This topic can be expanded from the following three steps: First,organize and summarize,understand the history of traditional batik in western Hunan,and refine the cultural connotation and social value of traditional batik in western Hunan.The second is to analyze and summarize the mainstream style,artistic characteristicsand aesthetic orientation of contemporary women’s clothing,and to summarize the current status of the integration of batik and contemporary clothing at home and abroad.The third is refining.Based on the research results of the first two steps,the innovative application path of the traditional batik of Xiangxi Miao in contemporary women’s clothing is extracted and put into practice.
