Research On Eating Experience Design Of Urban Elderly Living Alone From The Perspective Of Aging

Aging has become a global social trend.By the end of 2019,the number of the elderly aged 60 and above in China had reached 254 million,accounting for 18.1%of the total population;by 2030,the number of empty nesters and solitary elderly in China will also increase to more than 200 million.In addition,with the acceleration of the process of urbanization,more and more elderly people will enter urban life.Under the dual trends of aging and urbanization,the number of urban elderly living alone is also growing rapidly.In this process,as a more vulnerable group than empty nesters,studying from the perspective of aging design is not only an important means to improve the quality of their old-age care,but also an important part of practicing the national strategy to actively deal with aging.At present,the design research on adaptive aging mainly focuses on the single dimension of housing,environment,products and services,and there are rich research and practical results in the corresponding fields.However,for the elderly living alone in cities with abundant material conditions,the more critical spiritual experience is still missing.Based on this,this article takes eating,an important component of the daily life of them,as the starting point,and applies the ideas and methods of experience design to eating design to construct an eating experience design framework,so as to design a good eating experience for the elderly living alone in cities.This article is based on the theoretical analysis of eating design and experience design,combined with the in-depth research on the eating status of the elderly living alone in the city,and combed the framework of eating experience design for the elderly living alone in the city.This article first combed the relevant theoretical points of eating design and experience design through literature,and on this basis,an empirical study was carried out on the current situation of the eating life of the elderly living alone in the city.Through observation,interview,and questionnaire methods,their eating was investigated and analyzed from the three dimensions of eating environment,eating behavior,eating attitude and emotion,so as to sort out and summarize the factors that affect their eating experience:people,objects,environment,information and processes,and further analyze and discuss the formation mechanism and hierarchical structure of eating experience.Combining the conclusions of theoretical analysis and empirical research,this paper constructs a food experience design model with the elderly living alone in the city as the design object,including two stages of design preparation from the perspective of designers and participation in creation from the perspective of experience participants,and combs the characteristics and needs of the elderly living alone in the city.The design strategy under different stages and specific links.Finally,concerning about the dietary needs of the elderly living alone in the city,the conceptual design of eating experience is carried out,and an eating experience system for the elderly living alone in the city called "Le-Food"is constructed.In addition,specific scheme design was carried out based on the three kinds of design media:product,service and environment,so as to preliminarily verify the relevant conclusions of this paper.Facing the current social situation of aging,the improvement of eating experience is an important aspect to improve the overall quality of life for the urban elderly living alone.The problems of lack of health and convenience in the diet life of the urban elderly living alone have become more and more obvious since the COVID-19 Epidemic in 2020.This article is a tentative exploration in the field of aging design,and it also provides a new idea for improving the quality of life of the elderly in a wider range in the future.
