| The way of life of mankind has evolved as social production has progressed,and social production has been constantly renewed in response to the needs of mankind.Food is the first element of human survival and has always been of great interest to mankind,and as the material carrier of this,eating utensils have a significant place in China’s material heritage.This thesis attempts to identify the links between eating utensils and eating patterns through historical tracing,and to analyse the feasibility of the current meal portioning system in the light of the current social situation,and to rationalise the design of eating utensils to make eating activities more healthy and safe.Based on the above background and aims,this thesis firstly explores the dietary situation in China,talks about Chinese food and food culture,and traces the history of Chinese eating styles,grasps their development patterns,and then understands the relationship between eating styles and social productivity.Next,the development of Chinese eating utensils is traced,and the intrinsic links between eating utensils and food culture are explored in the context of the corresponding historical background.The current food structure and foodways in China are then explored to identify their shortcomings and predict future trends,as well as to analyse and summarise the current use of food utensils in China.Finally,the intrinsic links and trends between eating utensils and eating styles are combined to develop a corresponding design practice. |
