A Study On The Innovative Application Of Sustainable Design Concept In The Field Of Clothing

With the rapid development of global economy and the great progress of modern science and technology,human society consumes a lot of resources in the process of extremely rapid development,which greatly destroys the ecological environment and restricts the construction of ecological civilization.As the world's second largest pollution industry after oil,textile and clothing industry was once called "fashion pollution" and "fashion poison ".Clothing from fabric production —— fabric processing —— clothing sales —— waste clothing treatment,each link involves waste of resources,energy consumption,environmental pollution.Undoubtedly,the topics of "environmental protection" and "sustainable development" have become hot topics in today's society.More and more people are becoming aware of the importance of environmental protection and the need for sustainable development,and all walks of life are actively participating in the ranks of environmental protection.As a major consumer and producer of clothing,China plays an important role in the sustainable development of clothing.In the face of the severe ecological and textile pollution dilemma,the sustainable development of China's apparel industry is imperative,and it is particularly important to inject sustainable design concept into the garment sector.In this article,we take the concept of sustainable design as the starting point,analyse the principles of sustainable design from the perspective of sustainable development,take a look at the development of the concept of sustainable design and explore sustainable design thinking in depth.Through reading a large amount of literature,from the three aspects of garment design,production and after-sales,we collate and summarise the unsustainable problems that actually exist in the apparel industry,such as environmental pollution and waste of resources,and reflect on the problems that have arisen,to further illustrate the need for sustainable clothing design and the inevitability of sustainable development in the apparel industry,in terms of "over-design" and the pursuit of "fast fashion",etc.In this section,we take the initial design and final sale of garments as the starting point,and consider the lifecycle of garments,environmental protection materials and recycling,in order to summarise the methods of sustainable design,such as circular design,emotional design and structural design,to achieve a more sustainable fashion of garments,so as to deal with the false consumption of resources and environmental pollution brought about by the apparel industry.This is to address the problems of resource depletion and environmental pollution in the apparel industry.This is a systematic analysis of domestic and international applications of sustainable design for clothing brands,with a view to identifying innovative design methods that can be applied.From the perspectives of designers and apparel companies,the article explains the implications and trends of sustainable design for the apparel industry.The article's research aims to start with a change in perception: a change in the concept of consumption,a change in aesthetics,a change in the concept of design and a change in the concept of development.It provides consumers with a rational concept of environmental protection and raises their awareness of sustainable clothing;it provides designers with an effective and feasible theoretical framework for sustainable clothing design and enhances their design aesthetics;and it provides apparel companies with a new direction for the development of the industry,providing a basic theoretical basis for the path from the dilemma of being the world's second largest source of pollution to the direction of sustainability.
