Baby bib is an important part of infant traditional clothing,full of profound folk culture connotation and rich symbolic significance.It is exquisite in creation,exquisite in work,integrating practicality and aesthetics,showing strong maternal love,with unique artistic value.With the further development of economic globalization,Although some of the contemporary Bibs retain the "shape" of traditional bibs,its cultural attribute is quietly changing.The folk culture of bib and its inheritance system have suffered unprecedented impact and threat,so it is particularly urgent to protect and promote traditional culture.This paper firstly combs the emergence and development of bibs,and expounds its cultural connotation and clothes functions;then it focuses on the modeling and decoration features of bib,and analyzes bib patterns,fringes,embroidery techniques and color matching rules from a large number of material materials one by one;Finally,the paper analyzes the design elements of contemporary bib,and explores the innovation and practical application of bib in children's wear design under the principle of adapting to the contemporary aesthetic standards,so as to summarize the inspiration of bib for children's wear design and provide the available resources for contemporary designersIt is found that the spiritual connotation of bib is an important part of Chinese traditional children's clothing culture.To protect and inherit the essence of traditional culture is not only to preserve an external form,but also to innovate coveting design,creatively integrate ethnic elements into contemporary design in the process of globalization and serve people's daily life.
