With the development of the times,China’s traditional test-oriented education is transforming to STEAM education.STEAM education aims to cultivate children’s innovative consciousness and the ability to create hands.It emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration and cooperation,distinguishes it from traditional education,and focuses on the experience process and innovation.The development of thinking and hands-on ability,children’s educational toys based on STEAM education also came into being.With the rapid popularization of STEAM education and the development of various forms,there are relatively few children’s scientific experimental toys.When designing children’s scientific experimental toys,we should closely integrate the concept of STEAM education to design more convenient and playable toys.Toys enable children to gain hands-on skills and innovative thinking through the toy experience.The research of this subject is based on the STEAM education concept to systematically study children’s scientific experimental toys.Through the collection of theoretical data,product research,and in-depth user surveys,combining research and practice,analyzing the current status of children’s educational toys design and the needs of school-age children,studying how to reflect the STEAM educational concept in the design of children’s educational toys,analyzing this Influencing factors for the design of children’s scientific experimental toys,design principles and design methods are proposed,and the feasibility of the proposed design method is further verified through the verification of children’s scientific experimental toy design examples.Therefore,this research is mainly divided into three parts: first,the research background,discusses the development of research theory and the current status of the development of STEAM-based educational children’s toys;and then extracts product design principles through user survey analysis and existing product analysis research,and formulates Design method;Finally,the feasibility of the product is verified through a series of product design practice cases.The series of products respond to the needs of children’s scientific experimental toys under the development of STEAM education.
