The traditional exam-oriented education makes school-age children lack the consciousness of innovation and the ability of practical creation,and the training in engineering and technology application is not enough.Maker education emerges at the historic moment.Maker education,based on the integration of information technology,inherits the ideas of experiential education,innovative education,project-based learning method and DIY concept,advocates "creation-based learning" and emphasizes that learners should integrate into the creation situation,invest in the creation process and share the creation results.With the vigorous development of maker education,there are relatively few educational toys for children,which makes the curriculum system of maker education relatively simple and has a low penetration rate.Therefore,in the design of children's educational toys,designers need to combine maker education concept to make more forms and characteristics of products,and more convenient and playable,so that children can learn,create and share through educational toys everywhere.This paper systematically studies the design of educational toys for children from the perspective of maker education.This paper analyzes the demand of school-age children and the current situation of children's educational toy design,studies how to embody maker education concept in children's educational toy design,analyzes the influencing factors of this kind of toy design,puts forward design principles and methods,and verifies the feasibility of the proposed method through children's educational toy design examples.The purpose of the paper is to fully explore the imagination and creativity of school-age children,so that they can learn anytime and anywhere through hands-on play,and improve their concentration,innovative thinking and hands-on ability.The research and practice on the design of children's educational toys based on maker's educational concept is conducive to cultivating children's interest in science,art,creation and other activities.It can make up for the defects of traditional classroom teaching,fully explore children's imagination and creativity,and help cultivate children's maker thinking.Paying attention to the cultivation of children's innovation consciousness and creation consciousness will be beneficial to the country's talent cultivation.The popularization of maker educational puzzle toys is an effective way to cultivate children's innovation consciousness and creation consciousness.This paper includes 49 figures,51 references.
