Purpose of the study:Sarcopenia is a disease that presents degeneration of skeletal muscle as a result of its increasing age, quality, strength and function. It is a serious problem to reduce the health and quality of life of the elderly. It is recognized as one of the high incidence rate of senile syndrome. It has become one of the hot topics in the field of public health. In the context of China's aging population, the prevalence of sarcopenia is increasing rapidly, which increases the pressure of social pension and medical services. Therefore, the selection of practical sports training programs is of great significance to intervene in sarcopenia in the elderly. This study takes the elderly with sarcopenia and the elderly with normal muscle as the research objects, tests the changes of skeletal muscle related functional indexes, balance ability and quality of life of the two groups before and after exercise intervention, and compares whether there are differences between the two groups under the same resistance exercise intervention.Previous studies have shown that resistance exercise can effectively slow down or treat sarcopenia, but the form of resistance exercise needs to be more life-oriented and simplified, which is more suitable for the general public. Therefore, this paper discusses the influence and improvement effect of elastic band resistance exercise on elderly patients with sarcopenia,so as to lay a foundation for formulating individualized exercise plan, preventing and treating sarcopenia, reducing the risk of falls in the elderly, and further carrying out exercise and fitness for the elderly.Research methods:This paper adopts the methods of literature, experiment, questionnaire and mathematical statistics. The elderly subjects recruited in Tongde nursing home in Xichong County,Nanchong City were selected as the research object.Through the judgment criteria of sarcopenia,13 elderly people with sarcopenia(male 9,female 4)were selected as the experimental group, and 13 elderly people with normal muscle(male 9,female 4)were randomly selected as the control group. The resistance training of elastic band junction exercise program was carried out for 12 weeks in the myopenia group and the normal muscle group respectively. Before and after the experiment, the two groups were tested for body weight,BMI,limb skeletal muscle mass index(ASMI),grip strength, walking speed, the timed up go test(TUGT),Berg Balance Scale(BBS)score and quality of life score,Compare and analyze the differences of various indexes between the two groups of elderly subjects before the experiment, the effect of resistance exercise intervention on the two groups and the improvement range of various indexes between the two groups after the experiment.Use Excel and spss23.0 software to sort out and statistically analyze the data.P<0.05 was significant difference,P<0.01 was highly significant difference.Research results:(1)By comparing the test results of various indexes between the two groups before the experiment, the weight and BMI of the sarcopenia group were lower than those of the normal muscle group(P<0.05);The skeletal muscle mass index, grip strength, walking speed,TUGT,BBS score and quality of life score of limbs were significantly different from those of normal muscle group(P<0.01).(2)Compared with before the experiment, after 12 weeks of elastic band resistance exercise intervention, the limb skeletal muscle mass index, walking speed,BBS score and quality of life score in the sarcopenia group were significantly improved(P<0.05),the difference in grip strength and TUGT was more significant(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference in body weight and BMI(P>0.05);BMI,limb skeletal muscle mass index, walking speed,BBS score and quality of life score in the muscle normal group were significantly improved(P<0.05),grip strength and TUGT were more significant(P<0.01),and there was no significant difference in body weight(P>0.05).(3)After 12 weeks of elastic band resistance exercise, the indexes of the elderly in the myopenia group and the normal muscle group were improved. However, there was no significant difference in the improvement of body weight,BMI and limb skeletal muscle mass index between the two groups(P>0.05).The improvement effect of TUGT,BBS score and quality of life score in the muscle normal group was significantly higher than that in the muscle deficiency group(P<0.05).The improvement effect of grip strength and walking speed was significantly higher than that of myopenia group(P<0.01).Conclusion:(1)The weight,BMI,limb skeletal muscle mass index, grip strength, walking speed,BBS score and quality of life score of the elderly with sarcopenia were lower than those of the elderly with normal muscle, and the TUGT results were higher than those of the elderly with normal muscle. The results showed that the muscle function, balance ability and quality of life of the elderly with sarcopenia were worse than those with normal muscle.(2)Elastic band resistance exercise can significantly improve skeletal muscle mass index, grip strength, pace,TUGT,BBS scores and quality of life scores in the aged with sarcopenia and normal muscle. It shows that resistance exercise can significantly improve the muscle function, balance ability and quality of life in the elderly.(3)After the intervention of elastic band resistance exercise, the improvement effect of the elderly in the two groups was compared. The improvement effect of the elderly with sarcopenia was lower than that of the elderly with normal muscle.
