Statistical Analysis And Subject Research Of Chinese Academic Journals Based On Paper Download And Citation Frequency Partition

Under the background of electronic academic resources,a large number of data downloaded and cited from scientific research work become easy to obtain.The way to realize the academic influence of journals is no longer limited to the traditional citation relationship,and the amount of journal literature download has gradually become an important expression of journal influence.However,in the evaluation of academic journals,citation analysis is still the main evaluation method,and less attention is paid to the download.With the increase of the diversity of periodical evaluation related data and the decrease of the difficulty of obtaining,the situation of downloading and being cited in periodicals and the relationship between them need to be further understood.How to evaluate periodicals based on the relationship between downloading and being cited,and how to use this relationship to make a more in-depth analysis of periodical documents are all research directions of great significance.Firstly,on the basis of combing the research status,this paper states the research direction of this paper.Secondly,starting from the existing literature metrology theory and alternative metrology theory,this paper integrates the amount of paper downloads into the journal evaluation system.According to the relationship between journal paper download and citation,this paper divides the journal literature into four areas: high download and high citation,high download and low citation,low download and low citation,and low download and high citation,and constructs a zoning map reflecting the different influence of journals,It can be divided into hot spot influence,new influence,potential influence and classic influence.Finally,in the empirical part,based on the model,this paper studies the statistical characteristics of download and citation frequency of each partition and the whole journal,constructs the journal influence evaluation system,studies the correlation and regression relationship between the obtained journal evaluation results and traditional measurement indicators,and further discusses the research topics of papers in each partition.It gives connotation to journal evaluation based on paper download and cited partition.This paper makes an empirical test on the scientific and technological papers published in 36 management journals from 2017 to 2018.The results show that the download volume and citation frequency show different data characteristics at the paper partition level and journal level.There is a big gap in the ranking of hot spot influence,new influence,classic influence and potential influence among journals.Using the comprehensive index of periodical influence to evaluate periodical influence has high discrimination.Through correlation analysis and regression analysis,it is proved that the information reflected by regional influence and comprehensive influence index is different from that reflected by traditional literature measurement indicators.The research themes in each division overlap and have their own characteristic themes.
