Turpan Hami basin in Xinjiang autonomous region is a hot spot in the study of coal derived oil in China.The evaluation of coal liquefaction mainly includes two coal petrographic indexes and five coal quality indexes.How to comprehensively use these seven indexes to evaluate the resource potential of coal liquefaction is a technical problem to be solved at present.The thesis chooses Tuha basin as the research object,comprehensively uses the theories,methods and technologies of sedimentology,coal geology,coal petrology,mathematical statistics and other disciplines to evaluate the potential of coal resources for direct liquefaction in five planned mining areas of Tuha basin.Through experimental test and data collection,the coal petrography and coal quality characteristics of main mining coal seams in five planned mining areas in Turpan Hami basin,namely,Dananhu,Sandaoling,Aidinghu,Kumutag and Keerjian,are analyzed.The main mining coal seams in Dananhu mining area are rich in inert,low ash,high volatile and ultra-low sulfur coal,while those in Sandaoling mining area are rich in inert,ultra-low to low ash,medium volatile and low ultra-low sulfur coal,The main coal seams in Aidinghu mining area are low inert,low ash,high volatile and medium sulfur coal.The main coal seams in kumutage mining area are high inert,ultra-low ash,high volatile and ultra-low sulfur coal.The main coal seams in Keerjian mining area are low inert,ultra-low ash,high volatile and medium sulfur coal;By comparing and analyzing the differences of coal liquefaction indexes and liquefaction performance,the evaluation index system of coal liquefaction is established by using analytic hierarchy process,and the potential of coal liquefaction resources in five planned mining areas in Tuha basin is evaluated.The results show that the main coal seams in Aidinghu and Keerjian mining areas have the characteristics of low content of inertinite,high ratio of hydrogen to carbon,high yield of volatile matter and low degree of coalification.The hardgrove grindability index of main coal seams in Dananhu mining area is high,and the hydrogen to carbon ratio and inertinite content of main coal seams in Sandaoling and Kumutag mining areas are low;According to the liquefaction indexes of coal petrology and coal quality,the potential of coal resources for liquefaction in Aidinghu and Keerjian mining areas is the best,followed by Dananhu mining area,and Sandaoling and Kumutage mining areas are the worst;The reserves of No.6 coal seam in Aidinghu mining area,which has the best potential for coal liquefaction,are 5.354 billion tons.The research results of this paper provide a scientific basis for the clean and efficient utilization of coal resources,and have a guiding role for the management department to formulate the coal liquefaction planning.
