Fanxian coal-bearing area in Dongpu coalfield is located in northeast of HenanProvince and on the eastside of Dongpu depression, which is the important eastern deepenergy taking over target area. With rapid economic development of our country, thedemand for coal resources continues to increase. The coal resource potentialdevelopment of Fanxian coal-bearing area will play an important role in promoting thelocal industry and regional economy.Thesis conludes Ⅱ1coal seam occurrence characteristics and coal controllingstructures by collecting and arranging the data of geological exploration andgeophysical exploration in diffierent periods and prospecting units, which lays thefoundation for coal resource potential assessment. The data are collected for building aspatial analysis database. By mean of Mapgis space analysis, combining with coal seamoccurrence characteristics and structural features, it obtains three forecast targets:Yangji prediction area, Shilou prediction area and Taiqian prediction area.According to characteristics of the evaluation of coal resources, coal resourceevaluation model seclects the geological conditions, mining technology conditions, andexternal conditions as first grade indexes. Then the first grade indexes are divided intonine second indexes and twenty four third indexes. At last, Analytic HierarchyProcess-Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation model is used to evaluate the coal resourcepotential of coal-bearing areaThrough setting up AHP model on prediction area, thesis calculates the weights ofevery evaluation factor. Then it evaluates the three forecast areas of the coal-bearingarea by using Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation respectively. At last, it outputsevaluating results which have an successive order: Yangji prediction area> Taiqianprediction area> Shilou prediction area. The results have a certain practical significanceon exploration and development.
