Most insects are relatively small and easy to be ignored by human beings,which leads to the lack of awareness of species protection.People pay more and more attention to the protection of insect diversity instead of specific species.Based on detailed species information and geographic distribution data,the composition of species diversity,overall distribution pattern,endemic pattern and diversity pattern of infraorder Gryllidea in China were studied.Statistical results show that as of December 2019,386 species of infraorder Gryllidea have been recorded in China.Due to the controversy of a very small number of species(8species are in doubt about their distribution in China,6 species are recorded in dissertations but not officially published,8 species are suspected to be wrongly identified or recorded in distribution information,and 2 species are lack of effective taxonomic verification only in unisexual specimens),362 species(or subspecies)of infraorder Gryllidea have been identified in China,belong to Grylloidea(Gryllidae,Mogoplistidae,Phalangopsidae,Trigoniidae)and Gryllotalpoidea(Gryllotalpidae,Myrmecophilidae),16 subfamilies and 88 genera.Among them,219 species are endemic to China,accounting for 60.2% of the total.In order to better analyze the biodiversity of infraorder Gryllidea in China,the G-F index was used to compare the distribution pattern of cricket diversity in different longitude and latitude gradients in China.The results showed that the overall distribution trend was that the number of species gradually increased from north to south,and the species richness and G-F index were the highest in 20 °N-25°N latitude;the number of species first increased and then decreased from west to East,while the number of species in 105°E-110°E longitude was the highest species richness and G-F index were the highest.Using Arc-GIS 10.2 methods: the geographical distribution patterns of all species and endemic species were established.The results showed that most of the crickets were concentrated in the four regions: the southern Hengduan Mountains and the western Yunnan Guizhou Plateau(95 species),the northern Wuyi Mountains(76 species),the Wuzhi mountains(73 species)and the Central Taiwan Mountains(46 species),which were the distribution centers of cricket subfamilies in China Bureau and density pattern.Based on the analysis of parsimony of endemism(PAE)and GIS,four endemic distribution areas were divided: Taiwan mountain range(43 species),Southwest Yunnan(30 species),South Hengduan Mountain Range(16 species)and Northwest Yunnan Guizhou Plateau(3 species).This paper discusses the species diversity of infraorder Gryllidea in China,and compares the diversity pattern of cricket endemic species in China with that of all species.The results show that,except for the distribution center in the north of Wuyi Mountains and Wuzhi Moutains,four endemic distribution areas are highly overlapped with the other two distribution centers,and priority should be given to protecting the biological resources of these diversity centers.The results of this study have important guiding significance for the formulation of biodiversity protection policy and the control of agricultural and forestry pests in related areas,and also have enlightenment for other groups.
