Microclimate Of The Semi-enclosed Space On The Ground Floor Of Lingnan Campus Waterfront Building

In the context of students' spontaneous use of the semi-enclosed space of the library,which was originally designed to park bicycles,it has gradually become a learning space.However,the author noticed that there were still a large number of semi-enclosed spaces in the campus that had been left unused and abandoned.After investigation,it is found that the thermal comfort of the semi-enclosed space in the library is significantly different from that of the outdoor climate in summer.Then it is hypothesized that there may be comfortable microclimate in the semi-enclosed space of library.Based on the hypothesis of the existence of the microclimate,this paper uses questionnaire,software simulation and field measurement to verify the microclimate of the semi-closed space of the library and analyze its microclimate data.Through the questionnaire,the students' subjective feelings about the microclimate of the semienclosed space and the advantages of the semi-enclosed space in the library compared with other semi-enclosed space in the campus were obtained.Through IES software simulation and field measurement,the existence and data characteristics of the microclimate are proved respectively.And through PHOENICS software analysis of the semi-enclosed space and its surrounding lake,patio and square and other environmental elements,study the wind environment characteristics of this microclimate.This paper finally verified the hypothesis of microclimate in the semi-enclosed space of the library through data.The characteristics of the microclimate are: slight hot,high relative humidity,low solar radiation and high wind speed.At the same time,the effects of semi-enclosed space,lake,patio,library square and library sub-building on microclimate are discussed,and how they as a system exert positive effects on microclimate are discussed.Finally,based on the relationship between the local wind environment and the dominant wind,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the layout of the campus and the reconstruction of the semi-enclosed space of the library.Suggestions about the planning and design of campus square,lake and building position relation are put forward.Suggestions of space replacement between the semi-closed space and the selfstudy room are also put forward.
