Underground space resources have the basic attributes of natural resources.The suitability evaluation of underground space is a qualitative assessment of the potential of underground space resources.Evaluation of the suitability of underground space development can obtain the status of underground space resource distribution,resource potential status,and various influencing factors that restrict the development and utilization of underground space resources.As one of the core cities of the Changsha Zhutan urban agglomeration's twotype social reform pilot zone,Safe,efficient,and environmentally friendly use of underground space,improve the land use efficiency of Changsha City,promote the rapid and healthy development of the city,plan the layout of underground space resource development,create a threedimensional urban spatial pattern,and scientifically and rationally develop and utilize underground space resources is very necessary.The characteristics and distribution characteristics of subsurface geological carriers affect the distribution pattern of underground space resources.Different geological carriers and their geological environment characteristics control the potential of different underground space resources.For urban underground space,there are huge quantities and various type of urban buildings which have different building foundations,it occupied part of underground space resources.The index factors considered in the evaluation of the suitability of underground space are also derived from these two aspects.The important step of underground space suitability evaluation is to collect the regional geological data,analyze the characteristics of geological environment,and establish a scientific and reasonable index system of underground space suitability evaluation.Based on ArcGIS geographic information system,combined with the analytic hierarchy process,comprehensive index model,fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model and other theories,this paper establishes an underground space suitability evaluation index system,calculates the underground space index factor weights,and analyzes the basic geological data and the urban construction data of Changsha city,the suitability evaluation of underground space was carried out.Obtained the zoning map of underground space suitability in Changsha City,and divided the research into four levels: the best suitability,good suitability,poor suitability and the worst suitability.The area with best suitability in the shallow underground space occupies 45% of the total area,the area with best suitability in the middle layer accounts for 59% of the total area,the area with best suitability in the deep layer accounts for 90% of the total area,and the potential for underground space is great.rc...
