Plecoptera, also known as stoneflies or Perlids. They are sensitive to water quality and have higher requirements for ecological environment. They play a certain role in maintaining the ecological balance and purification of water body. They are one of the important environmental indicator organisms.Henan and Xinjiang are vast in area and rich in resources, but the basic taxonomic study of Plecoptera is weak. Therefore,it is necessary to make a comprehensive study on the morphological characteristics and systematic classification of Plecoptera in the two places. This study based on the domestic and foreign studies of the Plecoptera, the systematic research methods and technical routes were used. The traditional morphological classification methods were used to investigate and classify the Plecoptera species in Henan and Xinjiang of China.Through research and investigation,in the present paper,53 species,28 genera,5families,3 superfamilies of Plecoptera in Henan Province are reported.Including 3 new species and 2 new records. As follows:3 new species:(1)Flavoperla minutospina sp.nov.(2)Flavoperla baiyunshana sp.nov.(3)Flavoperla nigromarginata sp.nov.2 new records:(1)Amphinemura microhamita Li,Dong & Yang,2018;(2)Neoperla breviscrotata Du,1999;In the present paper,18 species,13 genera,5 families,2 super families of Plecoptera from Xinjiang are recorded, including 2 new records:(1)Suwallia talalajensis Zhiltzova 1976;(2)Haploperla lepnevae Zhiltzova & Zwick,1971.According to the above research results,a key table of families, genera and species was compiled, with the identification characteristics of related species, color plates and water quality detection statistics in some areas of Henan and Xinjiang, which enriched the basis of taxonomic research of Plecoptera.
