Syrphidae is one kind of an important resource insect,it has important scientific significance and economic value in science and production practice.The Syrphidae investigation in Henan province of China was mainly involved in the process of whole insect resources,and there was no special investigation for this group.The current study on the species diversity of Syrphidae from Southwestern Henan is focus on the general and fixed point investigation in the Eastern Qinling.The data of the investigation were put into the software Microsoft Excel and SPSS for analysis.3049 specimens of Syrphidae were collected from the Eastern Qinling during this investigation,and belong to 137 species of 46 genera of 14 tribes in 3 subfamilies,incoulding 1 new species,Volucella henanensis sp.nov.,and 24 new records species in Henan Province,Callicera aenea(Fabricius,1781),C.rufa Schummel,1842,Monoceromyia melanosoma Cheng,2010,Cheilosia alteration Barkalov et Cheng,2004,C.aterrima(Sack,1927),C.certa Barkalov et Cheng,2004,C.gigentea(Zetterestedt,1838),C.intonsaformis Barkalov et Cheng,2004,C.nigripes(Meigen,1822),C.nuda(Shirak,1930),C.oknawae(Shiraki,1930),C.proxima(Zetterstedt,843),C.quinta Barkalov et Cheng,2004,C.sera Barkalov,1999,C.sini Barkalov et Cheng,2004,Sphegina micangensis Huo,2007,S.nigrapicula Huo,2007,S.taibaishanensis Huo et Ren,2006,S.univittata Huo,2007,Palumbia angustiabdomena Huo,2007,Spilomyia scutimaculata Huo et Ren,2006,Volucella galbicorpus Cheng,2012,Microdon pingliensis Huo,2004,M.spuribifasciatus Huo,2007,Allograpta aurotibia Huo,2007,Chrysotoxum zibaiensis Huo,Zhang et Zheng,2006,Syrphus flavus He et Li,1992 and Xanthogramma anisomorphum Huo,Ren et Zheng,2007.Up to now,there are 187 species belonging to 46 genera in 3 subfamilies of the Syrphidae known from Henan Province of China.In the results of the Syrphidae investigation in fixed places: from Yaoshan Lushan,the species diversity of the Syrphidae in June and July,and the specimens diversity in May,August and September is highest,the specific and specimen's diversity in April and October is lowest,and in November,December,January and February there is no specimens collected;from Xiangyun Park,the specific and specimen's diversity in June is highest,in December is lowest,and in November,January,February and June there is no specimens collected.In the Syrphidae faunal component of Southwestern Henan,cosmopolitan species is dominant,then followed by the species from Palearctic and Oriental regions.Meanwhile,5 species of host plants and the biological habits of 30 Syrphidae species are described.The Syrphidae investigation in fixed places from Southwestern Henan is analyzed that,the Syrphidae population is closely related with the temperature,the food and the human impact.Overall Syrphidae species and amount were positively correlated with the temperature,with the rising of temperature increase gradually,but affected by the food and human factors,volatile.The species diversity of Syrphidae from Southwestern Henan is discussed that,Eristalis Tenax(Linnaeus,1758),E.cerealis Fabricius,1805 and Episyrphus balteatus(De Geer,1776)are dominant species.
