The research materials of this paper are from the Yufu Graveyard,which was discovered by the Datong Municipal Government during the construction of affordable housing during October-December 2013.The cleaning of the cemetery was carried out by the Datong Museum.The Yufu Cemetery is a collection of tombs from the Northern Wei Dynasty,and the relevant archaeological data are in the process of being sorted out.During the Northern Wei Dynasty,Datong was a place where many nationalities lived and many cultures mingled.Through the study of the human bones of the people in the Northern Wei Dynasty in the Yufu cemetery and the analysis from the aspects of paleo-demography,paleo-pathology and physical anthropology,it is helpful for us to have a deep understanding of the production and living conditions of the people at that time,as well as the distance between them and the related ancient people.This paper is divided into six chapters,respectively:Chapter? IntroductionThis chapter mainly introduces the geographical and cultural situation and historical background of the Datong area where the cemetery is located,as well as the excavation information,relevant background materials and research results of the Yufu cemetery,and expounds the research methods and purposes of this paper.Chapter? Ancient Demography ResearchThis chapter uses the methods of physical anthropology and forensic anthropology to identify the sex and age of death of the human bone materials in the Yufu cemetery,to obtain the distribution of the age of death of both sexes,and to make a comparative analysis with the relevant ancient populations,and to explore the population structure of the population in the Yufu cemetery.Chapter? Study on PaleopathologyThis chapter mainly observes,records and analyzes the pathological phenomena and abnormal phenomena of the bones and teeth of the residents in the Yufu Cemetery,and tries to pry into the health situation of the population at that time by discussing the aspects of bone diseases,bone trauma,abnormal phenomena of bones and tooth diseases.Chapter? Height AnalysisThis chapter mainly calculates the average height of the Northern Wei Dynasty by measuring the femur data of the people in the Yufu Cemetery.At the same time,it is compared with the average height of relevant ancient people to explore the height level of men and women at that time.Chapter? Skull Morphology AnalysisThrough the study of the non-measured characters and measured characters of the Northern Wei people in the Yufu Cemetery,we can understand their physical characteristics and the composition of their races.At the same time,through the method of cluster analysis,comparative analysis of the distant and near relationship between the people in the Yufu cemetery and different ancient people,combined with the historical background information,comprehensive in many aspects,and then explore the communication and integration between the people in the Northern Wei Dynasty in the Yufu cemetery and related ancient people.Chapter?
