| Infrastructure construction is related to national development. The report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Regulations on Promotion of the Conversion of Old and New Kinetic Energy in Shandong Province all set high requirements for the reform of the infrastructure construction sector. The state has invested a lot of money in ecological restoration projects, and creating green waters, green mountains and the most beautiful coastline has become the focus of local governments at all levels. From the perspective of construction companies, under the premise of ensuring the quality of the project, the optimal cost and shortest construction period are the goals that must be achieved now. This is of great significance to enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises. The purpose of this thesis is to apply the earned value method to the M coastline project of Z company, and improve the level of project cost control through the dual-factor control of cost and schedule. This thesis expounds the related theories of cost control and the principle of earned value method through the literature research method, understands the current situation and existing problems of cost control of the M coastline project through field investigation method, and elaborates the necessity and feasibility of introducing the earned value method into the project.Taking the M coastline project as a case, through the decomposition of work structure, the preparation of work responsibility matrix, the preparation of construction schedule and construction cost plan, the setting of monitoring points, cost calculation and deviation analysis, the proposal and application of corrective measures, the evaluation of effects and the process of elaborating safeguard measures to verify the effectiveness of the earned value method in the construction cost control of the M coastline project. The research in this thesis shows that the earned value method is effective for the construction cost control of the M coastline project, solves the problem of cost overruns, controls the construction cost through scientific management methods, taps the hidden profit space, and ensures the long-term healthy operation of the enterprise. At the same time,it realizes the synchronous management of cost and schedule and achieves dynamic control.Managers have a clearer understanding of the project as a whole, avoiding the shortcomings of considering the project due to a single indicator, and avoiding wrong decisions. The research conclusions of this thesis can provide reference for similar projects and provide a basis for in-depth exploration of more effective construction cost control methods. |
